If you go to this location and buy a phone, please pay attention to your next phone bill. I got a new phone from Jason , who is also the manager ironically. Jason never disclosed that he was adding additional features to my account that I never asked for or approved of. I’m glad I caught them and removed them myself. I will also be calling corporate to get those unnecessary charges removed from my account.

I went to the Apollo Beach store and worked with Jason. He likes to think he is transparent and knowledgeable but in reality, he comes across dishonest and arrogant. There was important information on our plan that he did not disclose, like how our bill was going to significantly increase if we were to take him up on his promotional offer. I distinctly remember asking what "strings" come with the promotions, and he failed to disclose a monthly service charge that will be taxed on my bill. I remember vocalizing to him that we did not need the service when we were signing up for the promotion, not realizing that the service was automatically linked to the promotion. That would have been the perfect time for Jason to disclose that information.
When I went back to ask him to explain my new charges on my bill, he explained it came with the promotion and looked at me as if I should have known and that it's common sense. This was very upsetting because it was as if I didn't ask the "right" questions and therefore did not get the "answer." This just comes off dishonest. This worries me especially for elderly or non-English speaking customers because how would customers know what questions to ask. I feel best practice would be for AT&T staff to disclose vital information upfront to help customers understand what we are signing up for.
We spent about 2 and a half hours with chat support instead to get the situation remedied since we lost all trust in Jason's customer service.
I would also like to add that after customers leave the store, Jason would mumble under his breath a sarcastic, condescending comment regarding that customer. It was very unprofessional.

I came into AT&T on a whim looking for an accessory. Usually going into the store is a chaotic event. I came in this store and was greeted by respectful employees. Shortly after entering I was helped by Derrick. He was respectful and knowledgeable. Within minutes he got my account pulled up and the devices I wanted. I’ve never had an in store experience go so swiftly or nicely.

The store manager there, Jason, provided some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at any store, and I’ve been a loyal AT&T customer for decades. Jason’s manner was abrupt, condescending and — at one point — downright insulting because I wasn’t interested in changing my plan on the spot without understanding the details (btw, I came in seeking some simple assistance with my new iPhone). He referred to my decision as “asinine”. Who does that (in front of the customer)? I was so shocked by his rudeness I could barely respond. I thought I was being punked. In any case, I think most people would agree that it takes more than technical knowledge to successfully interact with the public, and it’s quite evident that this young man needs some serious customer service training, especially if he’s going to remain at the store management level. I would strongly discourage anyone from going to this location. I know I won’t be back.
UPDATE: It’s been two weeks and your District Manager has not called me as you promised in your 11-8-24 email. My husband went to your store yesterday (11-19-24) to turn in our old phones and he received similar unprofessional customer service from Jason. I suppose that’s all we need to know.

I went to the Apollo Beach, FL store because I was looking for information. To my surprise the young lady who work with me had just graduated from high school. Her professionalism was far greater than I ever expected. Her and her supervisor were so helpful that I called my wife and told her I found this awesome AT&T store that actually answered questions and were trying to help me find what I wanted. I left the store so impressed.
