Absolutely Amazing Hair Salon!
I can’t say enough good things about this salon—it truly exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The space is not only clean and stylish, but it also has such a calming, welcoming vibe that instantly makes you feel at ease.
The stylists are absolute pros. They took the time to really listen to what I wanted, offered helpful suggestions, and then delivered results beyond what I imagined. My hair has never looked or felt better—shiny, healthy, and styled to perfection. Whether you’re going in for a simple trim or a full makeover, they make you feel like a VIP every step of the way.

Charlene is absolutely amazing! From day 1 she made me feel comfortable and really listened to what I wanted. Her skill is top-notch—I walked out with a cut and style that I absolutely love. She’s friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about her work. Tangle Me Knot is the best salon with a welcoming atmosphere, and Charlene truly makes the experience exceptional. Kat is AMAZING! My daughter and I both got her by chance and now we don’t see anyone else for a year now. She is kind and really listens to what you want and are saying. I had a really bad experience at another salon and was apprehensive to go for another haircut and Kat heard me and understood what I wanted. My daughter has curly hair and we needed someone to help me know what to do with her hair, Kat knew what to do and listened to what my daughter was looking for. She gives advice and helps you when you are unsure. We are always happy after we see her and our hair looks fantastic! Thank you Kat for always doing an incredible job!

I really was hoping to love this place but unfortunately I do not have a good review. Took my kiddo in for a haircut not too long ago and the stylist just wasn’t how you’d think one would be with a kiddo. She wasn’t mean but she definitely didn’t like the type of cut my daughter wanted and tried to talk her out of it. You could just tell she didn’t like how short my daughter was wanting her hair. She didn’t even seem to like her own work she did when it was done and hardly spoke to us. Cost me 75.00 for a pretty crappy vibe and not the best cut. If my daughter wasn’t so excited about being there and getting her hair cut we would have left. But thankfully she had me to cheer her on and her and I both let the stylist know pretty quickly it was the cut she wanted and why we came. We will not be back. The place was clean and nice on the inside though so that was a plus.

When I first moved to the Apollo Beach area, I found a salon that I thought was great, but after a few months, the quality of care I received went downhill, my color became brassy, my hair was becoming damaged and unmanageable. Then someone suggested that I try Tangle Me Knot. My first impression was a very good one. The staff was friendly, they offered me a nice beverage and I had a consultation for what would be best for my hair while, they were learning what I wanted for my hair and from my stylist. They colored, foiled, conditioned and cut my hair to help it get back to a healthier look and feel. I felt amazing when I left, the color was beautiful and natural looking ( not brassy)the trim and style were exactly what I had been wanting since moving to Florida 2 years earlier.
After going to them for a few months, I wanted to change it up a bit for the upcoming halloween parties that I planned on attending and I asked if they could do extensions. Could They? Well yes they could. They have stylists that are certified in hair extensions so I opted for the fusion style over the I-tips (whatever those terms meant was beyond me) as I wanted them to last as long as possible. I had NO idea what to expect. We picked the length and colors that would look most natural, we chose wavy extensions so they would blend more with my natural hair motion. I paid the deposit and scheduled my appointment and anxiously waited their arrival.
My appointment for my extensions was amazing. My stylist, Charlene, explained the entire process to me, made me comfortable, offered me a beverage and away we went, adding gorgeous different shades of blonde to my hair. When they were done, no one, and I mean no one (even my husband) could tell that it wasnt my real hair. These extensions were placed in my hair on October 15, 2015 and as of todays post, I still have extensions in my hair. Now, they have been removed, moved up and or replaced, but I still have them and still love them. I know that other extensions have been purchased and I don't really care what they are using as even though it is natural human hair, there is no guarantee that each batch will be exactly the same as the last, as each persons hair is different, but even with that, no one can tell. Now, I must say that Charlene mentioned that I needed to be careful with them, don't pull on them, use a certain brush, be cautious when shampooing and conditioning, but this is all common sense anyway...
I know this is a long drawn out review, but many do not post positive things for others to read so I was going to be the different ones. I love Tangle Me Knot and I love the staff, the fact that everyone strives for excellence, goes and takes the extra time for further education, certifications for extensions, and straighteners and the exclusive color line and products have done wonders for my hair.
They may not be everyone's salon or even your salon but they are certainly MY salon>>>. Thank you to everyone at Tangle Me Knot for making me feel like family and taking such good care of my messy, wavy humid plagued hair. ( PS the extensions behave just like my real hair in this paradise living Florida weather)...

Terrible experience. The staff is rude when you call. I tried to give them another try, but they cancelled on me, not once, but twice! Really don't seem to care about your business. I wouldn't waste your time or money with this salon.

Jackie does a beautiful job on my hair. She's such a sweetheart also. I have many friends that go to the salon and they are all satisfied with the different hairstylists.

Make a last min new appointment for a blow out and style. Was assigned to Edwin who was so nice! He washed and blew out my hair and curdled it exactly how I imagined. He even pinned the curls so they would last before I left for my event. Great experience!! Would def make an appointment with Edwin again!

I'm a guy and have been getting my haircut here for the last 6 months or so. I recently went and got cut by someone that wasn't Maya, and that was a huge mistake. It looked a bit off when she finished, but I figured maybe I could work with it.
I had some errands to run after the cut, and I noticed myself becoming upset very quickly over minor inconveniences and requesting the manager at multiple places. I've never asked for a manager before in my life, what the heck is going on? I left these establishments very confused.
As I got back in the car and saw myself in the rearview, it clicked. I have become the haircut. I requested Keanu (my hair was chin length), but I looked like a man-Karen with an uneven mullet. My heart sank.
I went home, washed my hair and looked closer, and wow, the disappointment is real. I can't work with this. It's horribly uneven, the "layers" look awful, and she didn't trim up my neck whatsoever. All the basics of a haircut were missed.
My wife messaged my previous hair stylist and even she was devastated. She knows hair better than anyone I know, so I asked what I can do to fix it. The short of it, it's not fixable. More than a year worth of growth, down the drain. There's very little length for me to retain, only thing I can do is cut it short again.
I made an appointment with a different salon right away, and fortunately, they're able to get me in quickly before I fully transform into man-Karen.
In all seriousness though, Maya is good. The atmosphere here is cool, they offer you something to drink upon entry, and if you have an appointment, they get you in on time. The staff is super friendly too.
Warning for the guys with longer hair though, there is a stylist here you need to stay away from.

First time at the salon...Edwin did an amazing job! He did a full foil and textured cut. Highly recommend!!! Long journey to finally find someone here in Florida that knows how to do what I asked. Thank you Tangle me knot and Edwin amazing!!!

I received a wonderful cut. My hair dresser today was Cary. She is a very kind outgoing young lady. I appreciated all her hair caring tips. She has great knowledge. I will be going here routinely for my hair care. There is nothing more appealing, then someone that enjoys the job. Thank you Cary for your time and professionalism.
