Today I had to say goodbye to my sweet baby Chase!! I adpoted him from a cat shelter in 2008- he was only 2 weeks old at that time. It was the hardest decision to make today as his health has steadily declined over this past year and half. My heart is just so broken. We took him to this local vet to arrange for the Euthanasia. This was the first time I have ever done this in my life I was just so scared for Chase. The staff weren't terrible- but there was just no compassion for such a serious decision to make. We never even saw the actual veterinarian. I thought they would come in to see us and just offer some sympathy but they only sent the nurse back to ask if we want to do blood work. Since we knew this wasn't that type of situation we expressed blood work wouldn't be necessary. The nurse was okay and somewhat polite. She explained the process and offered for me to be apart but the whole experience just felt so disconnected to me- like the vet just didn'thave the time of day to atleast pop in for a minute. Im less upset about it and more heart broken right now over the loss of my baby, trust me. I couldn't help to wonder...well if I had dog would things have went differently?

Clearly padded the bill with extra fee. 30 second joke of an exam charged 38.50. Went there for a heart worm and fecal tests. Didn’t need an exam. Was told an exam was required for tests. That’s a lie. Exams are required for prescribing medications. This place was bought by a corporation and they are trying to recover the costs. The founding vet only works part time. No longer a local vet.

WVC at Apollo Beach is the best vet care I have experienced! I have been going there for 3 years now and love them so much. Starting with reception staff, they are so sweet and detail oriented, extremely nice and diligent...the vet techs and assistants are very professional and attentive...and Dr. K. Ramer is so knowledgeable, compassionate and she receives my boy Denver with such love and energy! He loves her and gets so excited when we go there. I love them all so much and they take care of my boy so well.THANK YOU WVC TEAM!!

Great veterinary clinic! The staff and Dr Ramer are always friendly and helpful (even when my cat thinks she’s a Lion)! And the prices are reasonable.

Never go here for anything serious. My dog was diagnosed with cancer, and Dr. Ramer said my dog was not a candidate for amputation, but they didn’t do any blood work to determine if that was true. She just let the cancer run its course. I eventually took my dog to a different vet (Vet Next Door in Parrish) who did blood work to assess her further, and actually worked to try to find a solution. Dr. Ramer just assumed there was no solution, and my dog deserves better. If your dog just needs a nail trim, the walk-in clinic is probably fine. However, never trust them with anything serious. They did my dog such a disservice that I will never take my pets there again. I HIGHLY recommend the Vet Next Door in Parrish, as they are the most trustworthy and caring vet clinic I’ve ever been to.

Tampa folks this is especially for you!We live in Ybor City and have been loyal customers of Harmony Vet Care for years. Harmony just hasn’t been able to provide care quickly for a few years now. They are always too busy. We have had a few emergencies over the last several years and with only one exception we were unable to find help quickly. We love our fur friends and its really upsetting when we can’t find help for them when needed. I called so many Veterinarians in Tampa and none were able to help quickly except for Pet Hospitals where I knew the bill would be in the thousands of dollars. I felt fortunate that we found help after calling the caring staff at the Walk-In Veterinary Care in Apollo Beach. We just drove about 25 minutes down Highway 41 to reach the clinic. Dr. Ramer saw us right away and provided exceptional care for our Mitzie. We felt welcomed and cared for by the staff, Dr. Ramer, Deborah, Shanya and everyone was caring. We have now found a reliable, caring, and reasonable Veterinarian that is quicker to get to than many places in Tampa. We are now definitely loyal customers of Walk-In Veterinary Care now. I hope you and your fur friends get to meet Dr. Ramer!

This company wants to charge you a $5 referral fee for a prescription if you choose not to use their pharmaceutical company. They say because scripts take time. It may not be illegal but it's unethical. You lost a long time customer for $5. Congrats. I may do a video review with my following too. Let's shine light on your greedy practices.

Worst experience I've ever had and I've even given them multiple tries over the years. They don't ever seem to know what they are doing, refuse to listen to you, and then belittle you when they don't agree with your decisions. Their solution for an incredibly expensive surgery and lifelong medication that may not help my 10 year old dog live past another year was to surrender her to a rescue. The vet even made a judgement on me without even really talking to me! My dog is incredibly loved and there is nothing I wouldn't do for her. What an insanely insensitive statement to come from what should be a trusted professional. I will NEVER take my animals back and I'll make sure to tell my friends and family to stay far away! The ONLY positive is the front office receptionist. She was the only one that seemed to care and had a heart.

I have brought my 2 year old male golden retriever here multiple times. Every time I come I always get the feeling they have the wrong dog when they come into the patient room. My male dog is often referred to as a female dog. I am told my dog is having a symptom because he is still a "puppy" when asked what age they stop being puppies I was told one year. Yet, my dog is 2 years old so that was concerning. My dog is also relatively reactive to other dogs so I have asked that the waiting area be cleared/notified but still struggle bringing him into a room because no one meets me at the door to help

I recently visited Walk-In Veterinary Care with my pet for some routine, yearly vaccinations, and unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the service. My main concern was the long wait times. I had to wait for over an hour on both occasions I visited, which was longer than I expected. Even more frustrating was the fact that some pets who arrived after me were seen before my dog, which made the wait even longer.Another point of concern was the fact that I was unable to make an appointment for my pet to be seen. While I understand the clinic is designed for walk-ins, it would be beneficial to have some flexibility to schedule appointments for pet care, especially for those who may have time constraints.Although the staff was courteous and professional, I was disappointed with the amount of time I had to wait to be seen. This may not be an issue for those who have more flexible schedules, but for me, the longer-than-average wait times were inconvenient.Overall, while Walk-In Veterinary Care may be a good option for some pet owners, I personally would prefer a veterinary clinic that offers appointments and has a more efficient system in place to reduce wait times.
