I booked an appointment to get my dog groomed, answered all the questions to fill out. I get there at the appointment time an after waiting in line they ask my dogs age and I said 14 and they told me they don't service dogs over 10 years old. Why wouldn't that be included online rather than wasting my time. So disappointed I've shopped there for awhile but am now considering going somewhere else.

Have to update my review after a recent bad experience I had there. Seemed like I was being rushed out as a customer and my concerns weren't heard loud and clear. I'm switching to Petsmart for my needs from here on out. Been through too much with this company to even state it all

Heard one of the groomers yelling at a dog at the Apopka store. I can imagine what they do to mine. I will be taking mine to another grooming place. Advice find somewhere else to take your dog to groom if you love your dog. This Petco SUCKS!!!!

I had a grooming appointment today and the associate that was working in the grooming center was very rude. I have always made my appointments before actual store hours as they offer appointments pretty early. I arrived 15 minutes before the appointed for the check in process but the associate today was helping other clients so I waited outside of the grooming center. She stopped helping the clients to tell me I had to leave until my actual appointment time and that she would not help me until then. Normally I would not care nor do I ever write reviews or complaints but she was so rude about it and refused to explain why other clients could be checked in but I could not. I feel that others should know that this is apparently acceptable customer service at Petco now. Beware of the eye rolls and huffing.

Dropped my dog off at 10 am. They gave me an estimated 3 hours, and contacted me at 12:54 saying she was ready. I had some other errands to run and Ariel called me 3 times in 2 hours to come pick up my dog. She claimed that if I didn’t come get her within the hour she threatened to charge a “late pickup fee.” I’ve been to so many petco grooming salons in my life and NEVER was rushed to come pick up my dog. So when I got there, I asked is that a requirement now that you have to pick them up within a certain amount of time after they’re ready and Ariel said “we usually ask that you pick them up within an hour” and I said you didn’t say that when I was here at drop off.
I explained that I’ve never been to this location, but this is never ever happened at any other location that I’ve ever taken any dog to. She then went on to say “it’s not a babysitting service she’s been here too long” when at this point it was 3 pm and the first call was at 1 pm. THEY CLOSE AT 9 PM!
Then Ariel continued to talk about a “late pickup fee” which I have searched petco’s policy and there is no such thing. Do better.

Had a horrible experience today at the Petco grooming in Apopka. Let me say that Emilee was amazing and very professional. You did an amazing job with Milo's haircut. He is the most handsomest boy ever. Sam, the grooming manager, needs more training on professionalism. She does not know how to communicate with customers, especially if there is a conflict. Managers should be trained on this skill. Never is it ever okay to WALK AWAY FROM A CUSTOMER as she is explaining something to you. Never!!! She literally walked away as I was mid sentence explaining how rude another Petco worker was when she called me. The fact that tomorrow is Thanksgiving is not my issue. The fact that you didn't have any kennels for large dogs is also not my issue. That should not be the customer's fault. Do better.

Perfect location with ample of parking space. This Petco is extremely small. There is an extremely low variety of pets to choose from; however, their employees seem to care about working with pets. My daughter and I were approached by their friendly staff, who genuinely cared about assisting us.

Very unfriendly and pretty unprofessional associate treating me like an idiot when I came with a prescription for my dogs food. Note, my veterinarian is roughly 45 minutes from me and told me I could utilize the prescription to pick up from my local petco and petsmart. I came into the store with the prescription and kindly asked an associate if they are able to assist me in how the whole prescription ordeal works since I’ve never done this before and tells me all I’m holding is a piece of paper and it means nothing to her because this petco has no vet in this location and proceeds to give me a whole explanation of how this location cannot fulfill my order and how I have to go to Sanford or Altamonte like how in this world could I have not known this. First off I was appalled at how much attitude she gave me when all I came was to get food for my dog. Second, that’s totally fine if they can’t fulfill my order - no big deal. But please don’t treat me like I’m stupid, because I’m not. I don’t know if she had a bad day or something but all I did was ask a simple question and her explanation was honestly rude and I know she could of went about it in a better way and friendlier way. All I wanted was to simply pick up a bag of food for my dog, I really wasn’t expecting a lecture and attitude from an associate. Needless to say, I’ll just be picking up from my veterinarian and any further purchases elsewhere to avoid a situation like this again.

I had a really bad experience with one if the employee's when i try to purchase a koi fish she said she couldn't sell me the fish because supposedly they grow to much and they have to be in a pon. That she could only sell it if i had a pon, When i did all my researches on how to take care of a koi fish and they adapt to the habitat in which they are put at. Then the lady was trying to sell me others fishes which were more cheaper saying that if they die it wasn't gonna be much money I've would've loosed and money wasn't even my concert i wanted the fish because it was my son bday and i wanted to surprise him with one of his favorite fish.. what a way of killing someones happiness, when the employee job is to sell other ways if they don't want to sell then just have the store shut down!!!

I went in to see about upcoming classes for my puppy. The cashier had no information and knowledge about upcoming classes. Not her fault. She also seemed to be one of two ppl working there when I went during the week. Overall, the store is well maintained and has a large variety of items for pets. Some items are more expensive than others, so I like to rummage through clearance items and look for sales. I couldn’t find anything for swimming (life vest, water toys) and no one was on the floor to help. So, I grabbed two items and left.
