I really liked this bank when I first opened my account last month even though 2 days after I recieved an email saying they closed my account and I would need to wait for my initial deposit in the mail. I immediately went up to the Apopka branch because I had since deposited over 3000.00 and I wanted my money. They said it was a mistake and my account was still valid. So, okay that's confusing, but I stayed since things were ok. Fast forward to April 8, I deposited 2 checks and as expected they were pending and not available. However, they never added the amounts to the account but subtracted the amounts which made my account present as overdrawn. The overdrawn status froze my card and I couldn't conduct business.That made no sense! I have NEVER had a financial institution subtract the check amounts without first adding them. Then, to make things worse, yesterday they subtracted the entire amount again because the customers bank returned them NSF. So here I am after 4 hrs on the phone with customer servic, fraud dept and card fraud dept and NOTHING has been addressed or fixed. Corporate tells me I have to go into the branch when they open. The fraud dept rep was completely Incompetent. I kept asking why the account was at all overdrawn. He kept saying because they were returned and I kept explaining, I CANT BE OVERDRAWN BECAUSE MY ACCOUNT WAS NEVER CREDITED THE AMOUNT DEPOSITED IT WAS SUBTRACTED. He wouldn't listen and wouldn't help, and to add to it, he purposely hung up on me!!!! I'm going in as soon as they open. I will update based on the outcome..

I check the reviews and weary about coming across issues, however I had a pleasant experience with Melissa one of the associates. She was able to help me out within a few minutes when I was having trouble with my account online. She seemed competent and provided me a receipt after everything finalized.

I arrived at the Apopka location 5min before time of closing at 5PM. Drive thru lights were, inside lights were off, as well as doors locked. Very disappointed that you were closed before closing time and to say this is where I do business and arrived in time with a quick deposit

Terrible bank. They hold their own cashier's check for two business days. Never heard of anything like that before. I will never bank there again!!!

My wife and I were shopping around for a Heloc and visited Truist in apopka after speaking with multiple banks. We were immediately impressed with the customer service Shawna had provided. Shawna has always been there for us when needed and if she cant find a solution to something she’ll find someone that can. We've had a great experience!

Sun trust becoming Truist was a big mistake. DONT open an account here. The over the phone customer service sucks they know nothing and tell you go into the bank but the bank doesn’t have extended hours. When I explain they must not know what they are doing they go silent and don’t respond with a solution just to try to call back. CALL BACK! To get another rep because they don’t what to do! They can’t even transfer you to someone competent.

New Branch since the merge of the 2 largest banks in Florida.....Evidently more training is needed for those working as Loan/Finance Manager / General Manager because the person at this location did not know how to resolve the issue.

Absolutely the worst bank ever! I’ve been with this bank for 30 years out of convenience since I live a block away. No more. Tried to start a savings account, made an appointment, went there & they told me the person who can do this is not available. Found out that was a lie & apparently they just didn’t want to put the time in to do it. Same person told me they would personally call me & schedule another appointment. Another lie, they never called me back. Finally after 5 failed call attempts, someone answered the phone. Booked another appointment & they had me wait over 15 minutes, still nothing. I left. I’ll be happy to put my $ anywhere else but here ???
