Two friends and I spent a day visiting the many antique shops in Arcadia. We had loads of fun but we especially enjoyed browsing through Maddy's.

I went to Arcadia FL for the first time to attend their monthly antiques market and, specifically, to visit Maddy's Antiques, which looked interesting in their pictures. Maddy's IS interesting in person, with a plethora of vendor booths and items for sale. Unfortunately, as with all the other antiques shops in Arcadia, the prices were thru the roof. I brought $100 with me and didn't make any purchases because everything I was interested in cost way way too much. That being said, if you are affluent, have very deep pockets, and don't get a sick feeling paying hundreds of dollars for stuff you really don't need, then Maddy's is a go to destination. Their wares do seem to be high quality. There is free on street parking; if you come during the monthly market, wear comfortable shoes and expect to have to park a good walking distance away from the market street. Major credit cards and cash are accepted as payment.

This is my favorite shop in Florida. Always something wonderful to be purchased. Flo has great taste in buying/stocking the store. When I go to Arcadia now I ONLY go in her store and drive home.

Of all the antique shops on Oak Street in Arcadia, Maddy's Antiques is my favorite. The most expensive antique I ever bought came from this store. I bought a vintage ice box which is now the focal point of my kitchen! When you walk in the door, the first thing you notice is the delicious aroma from scented candles that work perfectly with this store's carefully curated early Americana country kitchen antiques. The window displays are creative and inspiring. The store is arranged well so you can walk around without fear of knocking some little glass knick-knack on the floor. It's open and spacious instead of overly cluttered with junk. Everything is placed with intention and all pieces are shown to their best advantage. If your time is limited, I highly recommend starting on this end of Oak Street and move east. Stores close promptly at 4 PM and you don't want to miss Maddy's Antiques!

Was very disappointed. Made a special trip up from Naples where I'm staying with my daughter (I'm from NY) to go to Maddys where I've bought some incredible things in the past....And It Was Closed! Says it's open on their Facebook page. Please change your hours on your page. Quite a trip for nothing!
