It was a genuinely friendly small town credit union until it, in my opinion, has gone downhill very fast this year after changing locations. There was one week where every time I went to the ATM, 2 out of the 3 ATMs were down. I wouldn't mention it but it's a random game of which ATM is going to be down each time you go, it's very frustrating. The one time I went inside to help my grandfather with Alzheimer's try to reverse an overdraft fee that made so little sense that the bank greeter explained why it happened incorrectly twice before coming to the correct conclusion, which ended up being the same reasoning as the big banks; they want to charge you with as many overdraft fees as possible. In my instance I had selected credit and got gas, still had $3 in the account that I transferred while pumping gas, and he still received an overdraft fee. On top of that the woman became quite rude causing a scene about how it's not my account (I guess she's never heard of power of attorney?) and seemed to think that because it wasn't my account that she could be quite rude to me in front of a full bank of people embarrassing me, despite me having an account of my own lol. Needless to say I don't have the account anymore.
tl;dr this is not the nice local credit union with sweet workers like Mrs. Debbie, ever since changing locations they've become a regular "let's get as many overdraft fees as we can and not care about the customer" type of bank.

The branch in Arcadia Fl is a joke. After multiple visits I've seen visiting at the counter, high fives between teller and customer. waited in lines with others that complained also. One elderly gentleman was there when i walked up, he said he should have packed a lunch. After watching the teller visit with cust. she finally called the gentleman up, and he said, "are you sure?" You could tell it pissed the teller off and she said " you want help or not" Another time I needed information on wire transfer, the girl left for 10 minutes, came back and said yes you can do it over the phone. She walked away. I went to Port Charlotte Suncoast and they gave me a card that said wire service with a number and a print out. I will be closing my account with Suncoast
in the near future. I can't keep driving to another town to get the service I deserve. Stay away from Arcadia Suncoast, it's a joke.

I can’t say enough great things about Ashley Straka. She went ABOVE and BEYOND for me and my mother in law in the process of buying a car and getting it registered, etc. When the bank and the DMV in our county was giving us a hard time with the process , she was there to back us up and handle everything for us.
Truly grateful for her !!

It's worth the drive to go to Wachula or Punta Gorda instead. The last time I was there. There is not lobby check in, I was standing at the lobby desk for a few minutes and a guy walked in behind me and was greeted first by the branch manager and then was grabbed first by the next available person. The employees at this branch run on Island time also. I gave it about 10 minutes and just went to Punta Gorda instead. As usual greeted right away while I was still checking in on the kiosk.

Do not use there ITM or services here I've been robbed of 250 dollars in total from the ITM. I never got the money back I went in to file a claim and they told me they couldn't do anything about so I shouldn't worry. They were very rude about it. I have banked with Suncoast for years and have never had a problem with an ITM taking my money or me being able to get it back until I used this branch go to a different branch.
