I witnessed employees profiling an African American customer at Walmart in Arcadia, FL. John's skills and job are to greet people at the entrance of Walmart. But John likes to leave his job and meet Shelby at the self checkout. It seems that Shelby and John enjoy profiling black people and cause trouble. I witnessed Shelby and John clearly targeting and insulting an African-American customer who was just scanning his products. When the client turned around to understand who was yelling at him, John and Shelby started to yell at him even louder. Shelby then got closer and suddenly, literally jumped at the African American customer. She physically attacked him and tried to rip his phone and personal wallet out of his hands. This was very shocking because the customer had done nothing but scan his products. Immediately, John called the police on the customer, for no reason. The customer asked for a manager. John disappeared ( his work station is the entrance not the self checkout) and Shelby lost her confidence when the customer explained that he was going to press charges. The manager did Shelby's job by de-escalating the situation that John and Shelby had created. I will not be returning to Walmart Arcadia and my advice is that if you are African American and do not want to get into trouble, watch out for John and Shelby.

I come here about every other week. My main Walmart is in Miami which is probably the worst Walmart in the entire world. I truly only go if I am being forced. I had to go to the Walmart in Arcadia and I was expecting the worst. What a pleasant surprise I had, this is the nicest Walmart I have ever been to. Gerry, the manager, Is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I did not even know he was the manager when I asked him where an item was he actually walked me to the item, all of the employees do! You can tell that they go out of their way in selecting really good employees that like to help. Sure there are a few that I have run into that don't have the same enthusiastic attitude as others. The reason I took the time to leave this feedback is that people are very quick to complain in life, and this Walmart's Management is the best I have seen and should be told that they are appreciated. I look forward to going back again soon.

I went to costumer service at 9:40 to return a case that didn't fit my phone when I was waiting one of the workers told me "We close at 10 or when the lights are off" and walked away. There were still 20 minutes left until the customer service was supposed to close.

This Wal-Mart isn't god-awful but there's really nothing about it that makes it stand out. The biggest thing I remember about this particular Wal-Mart is the greeter. There is a lady at this location that has worked as a greeter her for a long time.....several years that I know of and was probably there a long time before I started keeping track. Anyways, she always has a smile on her face and greets every single person that walks through the door. This stand out to me because some greeters in other Wal-Mart's that I go to on a regular basis look at you like you have leprosy or something when you walk in, LOL. For the size of town this is located in, they have about the selection that you would expect although I have been to Wal-Mart's in rural Georgia that were much nicer than this that were in similar size towns. Usually, the way a towns commercial establishments look (architecture, upkeep, etc) are a reflection of how the town feels about itself overall and I think that's an accurate assessment in the case of this Wal-Mart also.
