Had to go after a mishap at my home and maintenance was occurring (at my house), so we picked something within a decent distance of home.

The hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. It is affordable yet the staff are above and beyond. The check-in guy and Rosa are very helpful.

The front desk night shift on 1/13/24 was rude disgusting old men. He needs manners and learn how to speak to customer service. The bathroom discounting with animals and it had a weird smell. I added the pictures for you not to believe it’s a 4 start hotel it’s a 1 or 2 hotel. See pictures below.Rooms: Discounting I share the pictures there were animalsNoteworthy details: Rude staff at the font desk with no respect and not helpful at all because they do not have a manager to call.

Hotel quite okay, but very pushy housekeeping, knocked shortly before 11 on the day of check-out, what's the point!?

While Best Western offers the standard amenities you'd expect from a hotel, my recent stay reminded me of the unique charm and personalized experience offered by local Airbnbs. For instance, my Airbnb in Mayport provides guests with a distinctive blend of comfort and local flavor that larger hotels struggle to match. It's not just about a place to stay, but about immersing yourself in the local community, enjoying home-like comforts, and receiving personalized attention. If you're planning a trip to Mayport, I would warmly recommend considering a stay at an Airbnb like mine, where you can enjoy a more authentic and memorable experience.

We spent a night in this hotel because it is near Hana Park. The hotel staff is very nice and welcoming. The breakfast is a little limited but it was better than most hotels where we stay. It is pet friendly and has a large area at hte rear of the property where we could walk them. The hotel charges a nightly fee per dog but it seemed fair and reasonable. We were at the end of the hall on the ground floor which was convenient, especially because we had our dogs with us. We would stay at this hotel again when we visit the area.

Very clean and upgraded. Rooms were very spacious and well decorated. Bathrooms were spotless. Really appreciated the pillows and new bed. Breakfast was quite adequate with plenty of variety of breakfast foods. Close to the beach.

Decent Best Western. The rooms closest to the front door on the parking lot side you can hear the road noise. So I recommend getting a room not on the parking lot side. Or just maybe more towards the back. Beds are ok for comfortability. If staying longer than 2 nights I would use a foam topper. Lighting in bathroom was horrible. Breakfast was free, has eggs, biscuits and gravy, bagels, English muffins, coffee juices and tea. The Hanger restaurant across the street was really good.Rooms: Nice size roomWalkability: The Hanger restaurant across the street was great

The hotel itself was very nice. The beds are comfortable and it is quiet. There's a wonderful view. The night staff is much better than the day staff. The issues I had were mostly with the parking. There were times both exits were blocked off. I understand doing repairs but to inconvenience your customers is not ok. We had to wait for them to allow us to leave the parking area.Rooms: The rooms are nice nothing fancy but nice. It was surprisingly quiet for a weekend by the beach.Walkability: Right near the beach.

Everything about this place is a one star, except for the people. They had a full staff & they changed out all the time. Richard was the 1st person we met that checked us in. He was very personable & took care of us. After that, everything else is a bust. I always check the room out before we do anything. The toilet has a crack on it & you can also see the yellow pee stain that wasn't cleaned. Also there was mold on the side of the shower. Whenever you take a shower the shower would start to back up & wouldn't drain. Also when i got up in the middle of the night i saw a baby roach in the bathroom sink. I know that this is independently owned, but the company should ask for a complete overhaul. You can smell the dampness & the mold as you 1st come in. They need a dehumidifier to help take the dampness out the air. It's a place to lay your head, but that's about it.
