I should have known by the emptiness of the establishment, that the food would not be great. It is pretty much generic Italian, nothing fabulous, or fresh. The prices are really steep, so I would not recommend this joint to anyone. Gnocchi frozen made in NY. The manicotti was okay but quickly reheated. The spaghetti was watery,we asked for more sauce. The sauce is bland and also very watery didn't stick to the pasta like it should. Lipstick on the side of my wine glass. No salt and pepper on table. The wait staff was nice. I don't wish to waste anymore of my time writing about mediocre.

Stopped by Romeo's for dinner while visiting St Augustine. So glad we decided to give it a shot. Immediately greeted upon entering by friendly staff. We had the chicken Alfredo, chicken parmigiana, and spaghetti with meatballs. Everything was delicious! Then our kids tried some desserts- cheesecake and bubble waffle with ice cream and toppings. The kids loved the desserts. Will definitely recommend this and go back again.

Server was a very nice young lady who was adequate at her job. The issue here is the management staff is extremely rude and has no sense of hospitality and the food was mediocre at best and extremely over priced. Would never step foot in this place even if you paid me. The manager who we dealt with was supposedly the owner which, if true, speaks volumes to the place overall. My brother got the seafood special and said it lacked in flavor. There are plenty of other great places to eat in st. Augustine this is most definitely not one of them.

I honestly have no idea why this place has such high reviews. We went there this past weekend, and while the food was OK, it wasn't anything outstanding and we had a few issues. First, their website is down and they never answer the phone. They showed up in a Yelp search as taking reservations, and we needed a last minute one for something that night. I tried calling them at least half a dozen times. The phone would ring, and ring and then finally get picked up by voicemail saying they closed at 9PM that night and Merry Christmas (it was the middle of February...). So obviously they don't seem to care about assisting prospective customers and don't keep any external/online presence updated. Later that night we started walking down the street looking for a place to have dinner and decided to stop by to see if they were even open. We were surprised to see that 1) they were open, and 2) they were almost empty. They had like one table filled and a couple had walked in just before us. It was like 7PM, so we were kind of surprised since most other restaurants were booked solid (maybe this should have been a sign). But we were looking for something Italian and this place was here, so we gave them a shot. We had our 6yo daughter with us and asked for a kids menu. Nope. No kids menu. but they would sell us a full serving of spaghetti (no meatballs) for $8. Our daughter is very picky and only wanted plain spaghetti -- no sauce, no butter, no nothing. They were more than happy to sell us $0.25/worth of pasta for $8 though. Plus $3 for a kids drink. My wife got some alfredo pasta that was quite large and she enjoyed it. I had ordered the lasagna, but they came back shortly to let me know they had sold out (how? there were three other people in the restaurant?). So I opted for the chicken parm. It was ok. Honestly, the sauce (which they seem to rave about) was mediocre at best. I really didn't enjoy it at all. Very bland and almost no flavor. Another couple came in and we noticed that everyone else in the restaurant (now up to 4 tables including ourselves) was at least twice our age. So maybe they cater more towards the older crowd without taste buds and no appreciation of flavor. What I found kind of funny was that someone (manager? hostess?) was outside the front door trying to get people to come inside for dinner. Uhm, maybe if you fixed your website or, I don't know, answered your phone when customers called, you would have a better shot at getting people to come in. How many other people called like us, got a never ending voicemail response from (at least) 2 months ago, and gave up, not bothering to stop by like we (foolishly) did? Honestly, the only part of the experience I thought was good was the service. Our waitress did a great job, which is the only reason I gave it two stars. Outside of that, the food was mediocre and they clearly have some issues. As the saying goes, if every other restaurant is slammed and you walk into one that is empty, maybe other people know something you don't. Certainly not the worst experience of my dining career, but would certainly not come back. From mediocre overpriced food to a seemingly apathetic care by management, do yourself a favor and find a better place for dinner.

Absolutely delicious food very authentic. A small place so if it's busy may be a bit of a wait for a table. I was lucky to have a table open just as we walked in. Service was fantastic and prices were on par with expectations. Will return.

Lasagna and Baked Ziti were awesome! We went on a Saturday evening before Christmas. They were very busy so service was inattentive but the food was still hot and delicious.

My wife and I found Romeo's a couple of years ago by accident just walking down the street and stopped in and had a wonderful meal. We came back and once again we had a great Italian meal at very reasonable prices. I recommend the gnocchi and the lasagna. They were both wonderful and the best I have had in a while.
