By far the worst Marriott property we have stayed at. Not sure if this is because it is in Miami.1) the parking per day is $20, which was not mentioned during the booking2) numerous times we had requested trash can to be emptied and were told that it would be taken care of by the concierge. But it never happened.3) AC did not work. Specifically for room 413.4) No toiletries would be available (to be specific toothpaste, makeup wipes, napkins) if not requested early in morning.

This hotel is next to another large hotel chain (Hilton) in an area of mixed business uses (example: near Publix and the Aventura Mall, which is an upscale mall). This was the best hotel that we stayed at during our vacation. The parking lots are monitored by cameras and all the doors are locked. I felt very safe at this hotel. The price of the rooms were excellent compared to others in the area and came out to be less expensive than others. The rooms are very clean and we had no issues. The view from our room was a parking garage: but, I didnt book a room for a view and didnt care anyways. The on-site bar/kitchen was fabulous. They had about 8 options for food for each meal with typically one vegan option on each menu. I think the price was alright. The staff was very attentive in that area and the cooks were fantastic. This hotel has the friendliest staff on the planet and you would be greeted many time and asked about your stay and such. They were really interested in customers and their feedback. My one thing that they could work on is the elevator. I think only one is being used and, the one in use has some issues like, occasionally, the door doesn't open when you get to whatever floor you select or that it emits loud beeping sounds and such. By the end of my stay, I avoided using the elevator because I was worried I would get stuck in it.Safety: Very safe hotel. Doors locked 24/7 with keycard access only.Walkability: You could walk to Publix or a restaurant; but, I didn't opt to drive. The mall is a short distance but if you were to go shopping, it's a long walk.Noteworthy details: The pool area had fantastic lounge furniture and a fire pit that was lit at night. Great place to relax and have a drink. You could also eat outside as well.

Specifically booked this hotel because it claimed to have a heated pool and it was ice cold. After speaking with the front desk I was told that “sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t,” but that they’ll have maintenance have a look at it. And even after they apparently “restarted it,” they may as well have thrown in some additional ice cubes. There’s nothing more infuriating than a hotel false-advertising a heated pool when I would have chosen a less-expensive place in a more convenient location. Really ruined my vacation for my kid.

It's a perfect location for those training at Cardone Headquarters. It's about a 2 block walk. Quick ubers in the area, and it's about 15-20 min ride to the airport. A nice bistro restaurant with the Starbucks basics. Excellent chicken quesadilla! Rooms are good with a decent workspace.

Close to Aventura Mall as well as two shopping plazas and restaurants. Easy access to everything via foot, Lyft or Uber. Rooms are very small but workable forward short stay, bathrooms are reallyspacious and nice. Front desk staff were knowledgeable about the local area and helpful.

MILLIPEDES IN MY ROOM!During the second day of my stay at Courtyard by Marriott Aventura Mall, I noticed a long brown thing on the wall and initially mistook it for a piece of food that had had gotten stuck there...That "thing" started moving and fell to the floor, where it started slithering along on the carpet. I stepped down from the bed and had planned to kill it, when I noticed an entire team of those creepy crawlers on the carpet, surrounding the bed!!!I immediately clled the desk and demanded that someone be sent up to Room 240 to witness these creatures and exterminate them...Even after my TWO phone calls to the Front Desk, NO ONE EVER CAME and I was forced to get dressed and go to the lobby in person. The two women at the Desk seemed totally confused and wide-eyed when I placed a paper towel, with one of the creatures inside, right in front of them on the desk. After demanding to see a Manager, a man named Yorby came out of the office, and offered me a change of rooms, but not with out admonishing me that I should keep in mind that, "Well, this is South Florida!"I don't know which has upset me more...the lack of response by the hotel staff to physically eradicate the infestation problem in Room 240 or the sarcasm exhibited by the Manager, Yorby, in dealing with guest, who was clearly in distress!Yes, I obviously knew that I was in "South Florida", I booked by reservation to get there!Sadly, there was no compensation or reimbursement of any kind offered and I ended my stay in another room, on a higher floor, free of slithering creatures sharing my living space and possibly getting into my suitcases and clothing! The experience is not what I would have expected while staying at a propert bearing the Marriott name!!

This hotel was perfect for our stay. We wanted to stay close to Haulover and the beach without staying near the beach and this was perfect. The hotel is clean, modern, comfortable and it has a Starbucks inside. The pool is great and there is a very nice and clean sitting area. Parking is easy and plenty of it. The gym has all you need for morning workout... and the lobby area is very nicely laid out that all guest can have their own semi private area with their own tv for their breakfast or just doing some work with a coffee or a drink. This hotel is also very close the the Golf course we wanted to go to and only 12 min drive to Haulover park which was all that we needed it for. Hotel is very close to the Aventura Mall but also close to a plaza with Publix and lots of restaurants. Best of all the staff here is amazing. You can see they enjoy working here and working together as they incredibly helpful and accommodating. As a bonvoy member I really appreciate that they were able to accommodate our needs for late check out which helped us get all of our activities completed without rushing. This was truly one of the best hotel stays for me for many reasons. Thanks!! (throw in a round at Turnberry... lol and I'll be back tomorrow)
