I am a professional staying at a 4 star hotel/resort close to the mall for a work event. My hair had highlights that needed to be refreshed or colored over before the main event to look my best. The 5 star salon on site at the hotel did not have availability the same day, but charges $100 for an all overall color that they could do at the end of the week. I called JCP Salon Aventura and the the manager said a stylist was available same day. We decided on a single process all over color. We picked a single brown color that had a neutral base (605N?). The stylist kept trying to sell me conditioning treatments, updos, etc. and all I said is that I only wanted a single process color. Towards the end of the treatment, she informed me that her manager would be charging me at least $100 for the service (but the website indicates $70+) as she had to dye my roots AND the rest of my hair. My hair is to my shoulders (fairly short), and the woman mixed one color and applied it to my head quickly. At the end of the service the manager said it was a double processed color and her definition was color applied to the roots and the rest of the hair. I called two other JCP salon locations to confirm what single process color was and they said it is an all-over color application to lighten or darken hair and it only gives a one-dimensional tone whereas double-processing involves two different color treatments. Since I only received one color treatment, my treatment was considered single process. They recommended I contact the store manager, so I will during his business hours.I have gotten my hair done at salons all across the US and abroad and have never experienced anything like this in the US. The salon lacks honesty and integrity and will charge for services you never received. I plan to file a report with the better business bureau if the issue is not resolved. I would recommend anyone considering this JCP salon location to instead go to a nice salon with a good reputation because you will end up paying the same amount for cheap services that don't compare to the nice salon. My face was stained with color and the woman ripped my earring out and almost lost it in the sink as well. There is a diamond stone missing and I don't know if it happened during the service or not.Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Unfortunately they burn ? my hair so bad that it’s imposible fix it. I had to go another salon to do some toner and now on I have to wait more than a year spend money in products to moisture my hair and wait to the burn hair grow could take more than the year. i had my root virgin to do a balayage and they couldn't. They refund the money cause I ask for, but the damage to my hair it’s irreplaceable… and in the date before Christmas! I’m speechless

Clean large space with redken, olaplex, and other good salon brand processes and products available. The website is easy to use to schedule. I loved all the space, I never felt I or my stylist were cramped next to others. The prices are really fair, especially for the area. If you want lovely blonde shades (and a good cut and style) ask for Ben!!!

I was looking to Buy shampoo products because I saw the 40% off and that caught my attention. They lady wasn’t very happy that I was asking questions about brands or anything.She was rolling her eyes and having eye contact with the cashier in middle of my purchase.I just bought it because I need it. But in my opinion if she is not happy working there or doing what she was doing. She better work in another place… no good for business and JCPenny brand.

Tracy was very professional and was well educated regarding my hair type. She suggested the right product to use for my hair type and she didn't make me feel pressured to trim or cut my hair. I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Everyone was really friendly and professional. Great service and great place. I went to get a perm and it was bad even before I enter. I made the appointment online after reading the different bio's of the workers. I choose someone who said they had perm experience, they called me saying she did go to work that day and they changed me for someone else. I went and they did the perm, only leaving the solution in for 30 minutes and never added heat to help set the perm. When she took the curling rod out to see if it was ready she said it was but now a month later the top layer of my hair is straight and my hair is falling out. And on top of all this they charge me more than when I booked it online. I also called and left messages but no one called back. Worst salon ever!!!

It took the stylist 3 hours to do a simple cut and color. Did not cut my hair as requested. The back of my hair she did a good cut the sides and top no. Not my style. And the color I requested was ash blonde highlights. She gave me red/orange hair because she thought it looked better. I do not like red orange hair. I can not even part and style my hair like I normally do because it looks jacked up. I have to part my hair on the opposite side to look halfway decent. Very disappointed stylist needs to learn to listen and do want the customer request and not what she thinks will look better.Services: Hairstyling

Please do not go to this Salon. I had an unexpected trip to make and was desperately looking for a salon with availability and unfortunately I ended up at this Salon in Aventura mall ( inside JcPenny) NO joke my eyebrows are the worst I've ever seen. Before the lady even touched my eyebrows I repeatedly said I do not like my eyebrows thin so she said I will start to take off little by little and you will tell me if you want more hair to be removed! I thought "absolutely perfect" , she begins to remove hair and before I know it she says " all done" I rise from my chair and couldn't believe my eyes! She smiled and said I hope you like them, and oh I forgot to ask you if you wanted so much hair removed!!!!!!!!!!!! I was embarrassed even my grandmother was like they don't look the same and one of them has more of an arch than the other. They aren't growing back into original shape and there is nothing that can be done. Save yourself and do not go to this salon for any service!!!

worst place to get your hair done. These stylists don't know how to do a simple job their supposed to know like cut hair or Dye it right. hair looks as if a five year old cut it. For that horrible job done I would have rather done it myself at home. When I mention "these stylists" is because its my second time I come here and this has happened. Of course because there are many other stylists I tried getting my hair cut by someone else but my experience and opinion about this place has not changed. Save your hair and money for a better place even if that requires paying some extra cash to get something good and well done.
