What a welcoming staff! The service was really understanding when I was experiencing problems getting my digital wallet to behave. worked at last, and we were headed out the door along with a freshly suggested peppermint brownie cake pop!

What friendly staff! I was having trouble getting my digital wallet to behave and the staff was very patient. Finally worked and we were on our way...with a newly recommended peppermint brownie cake pop as well!

Poor poor management. It’s very apparent that management doesn’t care about the guest experience. Sad because the property has a lot of potential and a staff that is fairly adept to provide great service but there are glaring misses at every turn. Forget about check in, be prepared to get your room way past 4pm and competently forget about early arrival. Check in process is a mad house, unorganized, uncoordinated, and around check in time the lobby turns into a zoo. Tidal Cove is nice but like others have pointed out it gets super crowded on the weekends. If you like crowded places then you’ll have fun. If you don’t then stick to weekdays. Hidden fees! The resort actually attempted to charge me $61 for storing my 2 cans of probiotic soda in the minibar. Read that again! We placed 2 cans of soda in 2 empty slots in the minibar and they charged us for cooling our drinks for 2 days, a whopping $61. What kind of management team even thinks this is appropriate? They basically want you to consume their overpriced drinks in the minbar and when you don’t they get mad and charge you a storage fee. The minibar is supposed to be for convenience and I’ll gladly pay a surcharge for convenience, but this property clearly thinks it’s solely for gauging purposes. Communication. Upon check out I asked for the GM’s card and the front desk staff gave me a business card with no name on it and a generic email address for the front desk manager. I repeated myself and asked for the GM’s business card and they told me that they do not have the GM’s card but that he is the one that manages the generic email. I thought this was strange but nonetheless I proceeded to write a lengthy email explaining the pros and cons of my stay and to question their irregular minibar policy. Radio silence, 10 days later no response. It’s abundantly clear that there is a management problem at this property and until that gets squared away I would bring my kids to the tidal cove but wouldn’t stay overnight here as your money is appreciated but guests clearly aren’t!

It took us a little bit to make sense of the Zoo that is Turnberry Isle this weekend and sharing this to help other travelers & families put expectations into perspective. This is not the 5-star resort where Don Soffer used to host the likes of Jack Nicholson. Instead its much more akin to staying at a Disney Marriot Resort with all that comes with that label. The waterpark is a major family magnet for the area and expect lobby's, hallways, and pretty much any open spaces to be filled with kids all ages running and screaming - they are having a blast, clearly. If you are seeking relaxation - pick any other 4 or 5 star resort in the area. If you need a place to drop your kids and join other exhausted parents at the bar for early afternoon drinks than this place is for you. Our suite hinted at a more refined, past time - none of the lighting controls worked anymore, and the entire room seemed worn down (800 sqft executive suite). Didnt experience the door slamming others have reported but be prepared to wait on multiple elevator runs, due to overcrowding and broken elevators. Bottom line - willing to bet that 90% of guests at turnberry isle use points for their stays judging by the crowd. This is def. one of the top properties for points conversion at Marriott thx to the waterpark - parents accrue points on business travel all year and then head over to their annual family vacation at Turnberry Isle to let their kids roam free... that's what is happening. Nothing wrong with it - just be aware. If you are looking for a special get away, level up with a proper five-start hotel chain.

This past weekend, I had the misfortune of experiencing the disarray that is JW Marriott Turnberry's Tide Cove in What should have been a relaxing getaway quickly turned into a series of unfortunate events, starting with a 4 hour delay in our check-in time. Despite requesting an 11:00 am check-in, we weren't given a room until 5 pm, a delay which was made all the more frustrating by the excessively long queue at the reception, which was woefully understaffed with just three people. Upon finally reaching our room, we found it to be subpar. The view was marred by unsightly rooftops and air conditioning units, a far cry from what one would expect at a Marriott establishment. The door's deadbolt lock was also dysfunctional, raising serious concerns about security. What was more troubling was the lack of hospitality service. The staff seemed indifferent to the guests' needs, possibly due to the overwhelming influx of people visiting the Tide Cove. The lax enforcement of dress codes in the lobby was another issue, with guests dressed inappropriately in what is supposed to be a family-friendly golf resort. The water park, a major attraction of the resort, was a picture of chaos and disrespect. I witnessed guests behaving rudely towards staff and blatantly flouting rules with impunity. The lack of enforcement from the hotel's side was shocking. It felt as if the inmates were running the asylum. Given the premium prices charged by the resort, including the exorbitant fees for entry to the water park and cabana rentals, one would expect a far superior level of service and organization. It is disappointing to see such a renowned brand as Marriott failing to meet the basic expectations of their guests. This is a clear case where the value promised is not delivered. Marriott needs to seriously step up its game at the Tide Cove, Aventura, or risk losing the trust and patronage of its customers.

Everyone is so friendly, Christian was especially kind and helpful. We all had a great time at the water park each day. We enjoyed all the restaurants, including the steakhouse which had excellent service. We played golf with the kids (twilight) and the starter, Jim, was very accommodating. The mall across the street has amazing restaurants. Overall great place for vacation to relax, go on water slides and enjoy a beautiful resort.

We got to the hotel early to take advantage of the water park and did mobile check in and even notified the desk we were there not expecting to get a room before 4pm. At 630pm we still didn't have a room for us. It took begging and pleading to get a manager from the back to try and resolve this. Eventually they gave us an upgraded room and room credit to get us out of the lobby. But then it took over an hour for us to get our bag that was stored away and over two hours to get a crib sent to us. We couldn't make it to the restaurant for dinner because of how long it took for us to get a room and there was no communication from the hotel about our room not being ready. All of this to say it created a crazy stressful night trying to feed our 15 month old room service food and try to get him to bed at a reasonable time (which we couldn't do bc of how long it took to get the crib). Now I'm dealing with billing issues. The water park is fantastic but not worth staying there to experience it. Also food and drink prices at the hotel are asinine. $11 for a bowl of Cheerios. We will never be back.

Pix speak for themself. However, how the hotel handled this matter is NOT to Marriott standard. After a long day at tidal cove about to get my 4yr old in the bath and spot this gem. My 4 yr old is TERRIFIED of roaches. He screamed, then my older son came running and freaked out. Tried dialing front desk and no response. My kids didn't want to be in the room another second so gathered all our belongings and headed to front desk. I guess the best they could do was put us in the same suite we had on the floor below, waive the resort fee, and offered a bellman for our bags. The response about the roach was "it's not like we have a problem here... it was probably just because we had rain today." I'm born and raise in south Florida, I know there are roaches, but the rain.. Really!? It rains every afternoon this time of year, so what they're saying is expect roaches in every room after it rains. I don't find roaches in my house after it rains either. Once getting in to our same non upgraded room for the HUGE inconvenience, my kids would not even go in the bathroom scared another roach. After assuring my kids the bathroom is all clear they walk over to the tub and go eww it's dirty. Not only is it dirty, water is clogged and at that point kids are using the shower. We just wanna shower and get to dinner. I just want to go home at this point. Service here is sub-par and Tidal Cove is overrated. Quite simply, don't waste your time or money. This place thinks their sh!t don't stink. As a platinum ambassador with Marriott I am disgusted and disappointed. Will NOT be back. Oh and we also called about the tub drain and when maintenance came they just said the plug was old and broken and don't have the part to fix it. :) yay

Loyal customer and recommend this location. It is always a pleasure walking into this Starbucks. Always busy and yet, the customer service is always outstanding and the staff are always friendly with superb drinks. Some of the customers could do a better job at cleaning up after themselves though, including cleanliness when using the restroom so others are able to use it after them and the staff does not have more work onto their busy plate. The location is within the Turnberry Hotel, so it is always clock work in there. However, the Starbucks staff is always on top of it and they manage to make sure the experience and ambience is tidy and presentable. If you are a frequent flyer, I have observed first hand how they take the initiative to remember the person's "the usual" order. Just give them a greeting! The Manager and the staff, like DJ and Wendel showcase hospitality, even during the busiest hustle and bustle of service. Great people and great quality of service from the entire team!

One night stay. Check in is a 30-45 minute wait. Jared comes along and says to check in via the mobile app. That is a trick. If you wait patiently in line you will get a key. Mobile app checked me in at 8 pm. Pool is dirty and busy. Upon check out waiter again in the 45 minute line as this hotel seems to have billing issues. Also check your Bonvoy account as they don’t credit points properly. Self parked as valet told me hour long wait at minimum for vehicles. Appears that this hotel is purposely under staffed as the crowds continue to come. This hotel is not worth it for the water park as they open it to the public and therefore is always packed and crowded.

The hotel ground is beautiful, nice comfortable room, Tidal Cove is great fun. However don't expect JW Marriott level of service here. The front lobby is always PACKED with long lines so it is impossible to find any staff to help with anything, and when using the in-room phone, it just dials you to the general hotel inquiry line (not just for hotel guests) and you'll be put on hold forever. To bypass lining up, I used Bonvoy app mobile key, but needed to get an extra physical room key for my husband-- something as simple as that, took me 30 min lining up. It took us an hour to get our luggage sent to the room, and another hour to get in-room dining service. To avoid waiting in line, I used Bonvoy app to do express check out. Later to find out there's $100 extra on my bill. Again, tried to call the hotel, and being put on hold for 30 min, then the moment the staff heard "I'd like to fix an error on my recent bill" she immediately transferred my line to "accounting department" which has nobody working and a completely full answering machine. Back to calling the general line again, hold for another 30 min, got connected to reservation department (why?). Several calls and many hours later, finally gave up and called Bonvoy, opened up a case that'll be investigate for the additional $100 charges. They are either extremely understaffed, or just lack concept of service & efficiency.

We spent 3 weeks at the hotel and had a great time. The hotel is in great shape and they have upgraded seriously their service staff. Especially we would like to commend the great work from Adam Scott (front office manager), Tigor, Rafael, Cheryl, Jose (Corsair), Maria Hedman (Supervisor), Augie, Jeff (at the golf area) and most of the rest of the staff (can´t remember all the names) that were super at assisting and solving all and every need). Keep it up
