If I could give negative stars I would. I recently met one of their stylists who was super sweet and handing out 50%off cards. After researching the stylists (and of course the coupon) I decided it was worth a shot. So I called yesterday to schedule the appointment. Not only was the lady on the phone the rudest person I've ever spoken to, SHUE HUNG UP ON ME. evidentially the stylist has left this salon, I can see why if this is the attitude, and instead of just politely saying "I'm sorry she's no longer with our salon" or "I'm sorry she has left our company" I got a response "she's gone." I didn't understand so I reasoned and she snapped and said "she's gone, she doesn't work here" and hung up. I was in such shock of the rudeness I stared at the phone afterwards. Luckily the stylist gave me her personal email. I guess I will reach out to her that way... Since clearly this rude salon just wants no business. And judging by the reviews looks like a I dodged a bullet with this place. Won't recommend, or even attempt again.

Amazing decor, customer service, fun, edgy and very talented staff . Went in for a manicure and haircut and had a great experience, left completely satisfied. Kate did my manicure. She was very friendly, gave me great suggestion on polish color (she also does nail art which is hard to find ) took her time with my nails, and the manicure room looks like out of a fairy tale . After my manicure I was sent to Diana for my cut . Had an awesome consultation, she asked things I never thought would matter when it comes to a haircut, but really made a difference, her passion really shows, she's trained with Vidal Sassoon and I heard they are the best so I felt very comfortable in her chair . Ended up also getting a color glaze she recommended because due to Miami weather my hair felt a lil dry, not shiny and brassy. This glaze did exactly that, left my hair feeling amazing and it was only an additional $30. She cut exactly what she recommended added some great layers and side bang , the blowout left my hair soft and bouncy :-) . I will def. go back to this salon. Also great hair wash and yummi mimosas, I give this place 5 stars

I love going to 1160 hair. I have had 4 visits there for haircuts and once for color and I'm never disappointed. The staff is very friendly, the salon is always clean and just a great atmosphere all around. Diana always gives me the most AMAZING haircut and blowout! I just love her : ) highly recommend this salon and Diana for haircuts, color and basically anything that has to do with hair :))

I so wanted to like this charming salon. Grass on the ceilings, tear drop & feather chandeliers, horn shaped wall sconces, where do I begin? You feel transported into a Tim Burton movie. The staff is friendly and hip. Shaved heads, purple hair, all indicators that I may just walk out of here with a contemporary look. I brought photos. I thought I explained very clearly what I was looking for (Alexa Chung tousled layers) and what I didn't like about my current cut (bubbly shape, longer in the back). Suffice it to say I ended up with the exact opposite of what I wanted. A huge balloon of hair that looked like a big black motorcycle helmet. I looked like a 50 year old Republican running for political office. How did this happen? Was Ashton Kutcher going to jump out any second? I am the kind of client that will smile politely after a not so great hair cut and still leave a 20% tip. However, there was no way I was going to be seen in public looking like Jackie Kennedy ca. 1960. I composed myself, breathed deeply and politely asked my stylist to please cut the back shorter as it was much longer than the front. I had specifically asked for the same length front and back or even slightly longer in the front (angled in stylist lingo). What was on my head was a strange hybrid between a bouffant and a mullet. Sort of like Joan Collins in "Dynasty". I felt bad for them as they basically had to re-cut the entire back of my head. Note I say "they" as I do not wish to publicly embarrass anyone by giving a name or even a gender. I also still left a 20% tip. I was there for close to 2 hours. After a year of growing out a really short bob what did I end up with? A really short bob. Doesn't look bad but I am back at square one. Thanks.

Went on 2 different occasions with 2 Groupons. Sandra did my manicure and manicure the first time and she took like 2 hours and 1/2 she fixed my feet inside out...Amazing service. 5 stars+++. On the second occasion, a few days later, I got the facial which was OK, and I would give it 3 stars. Solid 4 stars overall, nice place, I liked the decor, kind staff.

This is seriously my new favorite salon. They (1) have my favorite Lana del Rey Pandora radio station on; (2) greet you with an amazing cappuccino (or wine/champaign if you prefer); (3) treat customers like princesses; (4) don't have creepy old guys getting pedicures next to you (5) are not crazy busy like every other place on a Saturday (6) have cool/quirky decor aaaand (7) don't hustle you out like cattle. I feel like I'm at a girlfriend's home.

Went here with a Groupon deal when visiting Florida for my husband's conference. I believe they have a loyal clientele for hair and manicure/pedicure services . . . I received a facial and massage with the Groupon and would definitely recommend 1160 Hair.

I went in for a Manicure with Kate, this was my first time in this salon. I was expecting the best due to the salons location and decor. At first, I was welcomed with a smile and offered me somthing to drink. While I was getting my manicure, she was very nice but she didn't give me a massage, cleaned under my nails, also filed my nails crook it. She polished my nails and left spots unpolished and when I walked out to see the final product, it looked like I had done my nails 2 weeks ago, she did not paint all the way down to the cuticle so it had gaps. Not sure if I will go again.

Professional staff here are very courteous. Kate expertly did my manicure and pedicure. She was sweet and well skilled. This is a very beautiful and comfortable salon. I came with a Gilt City deal and was still treated as valuable client

The decor of this salon is over the top gorgeous, fantasy (Tim Burtonesque film). The Salon itself gets a 3 star from me. Otherwise, I give the cut, color a 1 star because I don't ever plan on going back. I made an appointment for cut and a low/high light combo. I was told all of the colorists were fantastic and that I would be happy with anyone of them. I didn't know who was going to color my hair until he walked up to me to introduce himself and take me to his chair. He had full on body tattoos and his earlobes were stretched into submission. I was delighted at his trendy and edgy look as I foolishly thought I was going to get a super fabulous cut and color. I was so wrong. The cut took what seemed like light years to grow out. Correction- it wasn't a cut it was a butcher job. This cut was so bad it was uneven and awful. The color was terrible blotchy and the highlights looked like cheap cap highlights. Just awful. As untalented as this bloke was he was equally uninteresting and lacked charm. His chair mate was an overweight girl with a terrible black/purple dye job. I only mention her because she was rude and kept interjecting unsolicited advice as I was trying to explain to my "talentless stretchy ears" hairdresser exactly what I wanted. Clearly, my explanations were a waste of time. I looked around at the clients of this salon. I can't say there was one single hairdresser in the place that I wished I had instead of the one I was stuck with. The hair jobs were all mediocre. I also had my nails done. The lady was ok. The manicure was just Ok.
