The employees were friendly and helpful without being pushy. This store has everything like the old timey hardware stores but it's neat and organized well.

This is the oldest hardware store in Belle Glade founded in 1973. It's just a wonderful place and if you can't find it anywhere else, you will find it at Lake hardware. I asked them what their most proud of, and they told me that they were very happy to be serving the local farmers with all of their machinery part needs. So the next time you sit down with a loaf of bread to make that peanut butter and jelly sandwich, you can thank the people at Lake hardware. They supply the sugar farmers, and sugar is everywhere!

Convenient. Happy they're here. They don't have the ordering power to give Home Cheapo or BLowes prices but the prices are on par for a local hardware store.

They will have what you need at a fair price, a $20 fatmax tape measure in town was $26 here. Most of all the stock was very old, covered in cobwebs and in some instances rusty (a few chest level Cresent wrench sets were completely rusted to non function, and still on the selling floor). A 15 foot light duty ungrounded ace cable was $9, and in good condition. Just use common sense when shopping here. If you can wait, look in town for cheaper.
