My trusty Basset Hound Alice and I travel our beautiful USA each summer in my restored VW WESTFALIA; have been for 30 years. Of course piloting such an old car can be somewhat problematic at times.
Case in point: I live in the state of Washington and decided I wanted to visit Key West, a place that was always on my bucket list but a place I never got to. 2024 was my year for such a trip.
Triple digit temperatures, torrential downpours, flooding, crazy humidity, and 8,000 miles later didn't phase the little VW. However, neglected and overlooked wheel bearings did.
Enter Belleair Auto Care in Belleair Bluffs Florida. An auto repair shop that on any given day you'll find, classic cars, imports, exotics, and everyday drivers lining their lot.
When I called and spoke with Don the shop manager, he assured me he would check into parts availability and get back to me in 10 minutes. After all, finding anything for a 1988 VW WESTFALIA is a tricky proposition. To my surprise he phoned me back with not only good news about the parts but told me to get it in first thing in the morning and they'd begin doing the repairs. Even had a preliminary repair estimate for me. All within the 10 minutes he promised. Amazing!!!
Within 2 days Frank, one of the shops excellent technicians, completed the repairs. He also found a damaged and leaking brake line and fabricated parts to repair it that were no longer available.
But wait, there's more. 4 days into my trip back to Washington, and just coming out of the Ozark Moutains in Arkansas, Tom, the shop owner, reached out to me to check in on their repairs. Who does that now days?
So wake up VW BUS owners, import owners, classic car owners, and everyday drivers. Customer Service is alive and well at Belleair Auto Care.

I took my 69 Dodge Dart there and they had my car for a month and literally fixed nothing and devalued my car. They left my car outside with the hood up in a storm and my hood got ripped off. It got thrown in the air, dented, scratched bad, and even had a chunk of fiberglass missing now. They reattached it but the fiberglass they used never dried properly (it's been a month now and it's still soft). I was moving out of state and they almost made me postpone my trip. I wrote an email asking to replace my hood and have heard nothing back and fyi I just asked for a primed hood and not even have it painted or anything. Sad that they would do this to a customer and leave my car in worst shape than it started... terrible business and even worse business practice and they always have an excuse but no solution. I will be forced to take legal action and I have a lot of before pictures ;-)

This is a trustworthy, fair priced automotive shop. For European cars as well. They have seen me through my old BMW and now my new/used one. They do great before auto purchase inspections and fantastic maintenance/repair work. Highly recommended. Actually already sent a family member there recently and they were most happy!!

Took my 03 T-bird to Belleair in March to get it ready for a road trip. Brakes, oil change, and a new rear end. Parts for the retro birds are not always easy to come by but I trusted Belleair as they were able to fix my AC 2 years ago when I bought it. It only took a couple days and price was quite fair (not cheap, but don’t buy an old car if you want cheap, right?). Just got back from my 3,000 mile road trip on the backroads and Natchez Trace Parkway and it was like driving a brand new car! It’s getting close to 100,000 miles on it, but I bought it to enjoy and drive it, not leave in garage. I will always trust Belleair with this car! If you have a retro bird or any car getting on in years, you should trust them with your car as well.

Had multiple issues resolved at one time. Was completed in a very timely manor. The crew at Belleair Auto has worked on my vehicles for more than a few years. I keep going back. I have the abilities and the tools needed for most repairs, what I do not have is the time to do them. I really do appreciate the crew there.

Just had my car at Belleair Auto Care. I'm embarrassed to say that I absentmindedly added some windshield washer fluid to my coolant system. Tom checked it out and advised that I should be ok, as it was only a small amount. He charged me nothing to look at it.
It's nice to have a trustworthy auto technician! I highly recommend this business, and look forward to doing business with them in the future.

This is The Place To Bring Your Car or Truck, I was looking for a Local Honest Auto/Truck Repair Shop and i Found One. I have been to Belleair Auto 3 Times with my Truck and Each Time i Have Been well Taken Care Of. They Keep my Dakota Running Perfect. Tried a few other Local Shops, Like Corey Ohio where they Tried to sell me a New Head Gasket when all i needed was a Radiator Hose. Thanks to the Guys at Belleair. Gary

I live an hour away but work down the street, and my car wasn't sounding the greatest. They were super busy on a Friday and somehow magically squeezed me in to repair my vehicle because they knew if they let me drive home it could've cost me more $$ in the long run.
