I happened upon Monica's because my friend was working in Big Pine Key and I desperately needed a haircut. What a great experience!! After being treated not so well by salons in Key West, Monica was a breath of fresh air! Very personable and definitely knows her way with hair! Great haircut at a great price! Beyond 5 stars! This lady is awesome..!! What a professional artist of hair. I felt like I was back at a Vidal Sassoon salon in San Francisco. I will only have here as my personal hair specialist. And my daughter went with me and we had a marvelous time. She is in the back of the Coconut Bar in Big Pine Key. Small shop very wonderful and cozy. She was leaving for the day when I called and she stayed for me to get my hair done. What a treat. Love this lady.

Don't waste your money in downtown in Key West. As an ex-NYCer who once paid triple digits because they came recommended with their snobbish fancy white leather couches for privilege of a LOUSY hair cut? If that's your bag. Then go. BUT, Just know.. This lady is the real deal! AND as professional as they come. I mean this Seriously... I have never had more positive comments on a haircut in my life!! AND at a more reasonable rate then ever expected as a local. Thanks -Monica.YOU ROCK the keys!
