0 Star for this bank, a bank to be avoided at all costs. My opinion of Amerant is the worst that a client can have of a bank, I feel scammed, defrauded and I feel that the only thing I am good for is for the bank to take money from me without my consent, I made a claim which has not been attended to not even answered, that shows the total lack of seriousness, in the end I had to close the account because they continued to take money from me monthly without my consent, avoid it at all costs.

If I could give them 0/no star I would. This is by far the worst institution I have encountered in all my years of doing business. Since my mortgage is now with them my only hope is that they are acquired by PNC or any competent organization. Frustrated is putting it lightly. Their numerous levels of incompetencies should be a case study for any MBA program. I have tried to access my account for 3 weeks with no luck and their customer service line involves one ill-mannered agent after another and when you are lucky enough to get an employee that is nice and professional they are unable to resolve your problem. AVOID THEM!

Nice people work here. They didn't forget how to treat a customer. I was surprised at their rates and courteous manner of treating a new customer

Do not answer phones or questions in a timely manner, as well as overheard about employees making ethnic remarks.

At first glance this appears to be a nice bank, however that is not the case in my experience. I have not been able to use the mobile app or login to the website to review my account activity for 3 weeks now. Each of my painful calls to customer service were not helpful. I was told they can’t see my account status or balance and someone would call me back. That has not happened as of yet.I expressed concern that I have no visibility of my account activity and was told again there was nothing they could do but promise another callback. These practices not only appear unethical, but borderline illegal. I do not recommend this bank unless you’re using it as a secondary account due to the unreliable service I’ve received.

low-life bank fron venezuela where everyone speaks spanish. Mngr. walks around outside bank vaping and assistant mngr. has rude and obnoxious personality.It may be that bank has some use in miami but not in Boca or delray where customer want and deserve respect. Additionally i was rudely contacted by bank about property that was sold three months ago and asst. mngr said that the bank could do or request whatever they wanted.Attorney susan hermer esq. who has practiced law for over 30 years felt the banks contact from so called"complance dept" was very unusal and in fact an invasion of privacy. Stay away from these mutts at all costs.
