Quoted an hour and 45 min with an appointment, over 2 hours later they hadn’t even started on my car. They have some of the best prices but the service is incredibly slow…

BEWARE, I would not recommend that you have your tires changed here if you have any kind of need outside of standard size tires. I have a gls with 22 inch rims and had my tires changed here on two separate occasions. I bought a set of two on each occasion. The first time there was no issues and the second time a crack was made on one of the rims. Since the wheel is so much larger than standard size it took a while for the air pressure to reach a level that signaled the sensors in the car that pressure was low. I immediately brought it back in and was told that there was a hairline crack on the inside of the rim. When I brought it to the dealership I was told that the marking was consistent with a mounting error. Costco then had me bring it back again for another inspection where no pictures were taken but they had me fill out a incident report. Weeks later and not being able to use the car because the crack got progressively worse over time. It took less and less time for the pressure to go down which is why I had to stop driving it. Their insurance adjuster said that they required pictures of the damage but that they would not help me obtain pictures of the damage because it’s not their responsibility to do so even though they had me bring it in twice for the same reason. It’s unlikely that if this crack happened due to a road hazard that the tire itself wouldn’t have also been damaged in the process. When I brought that up they stated that if they noticed the damage was there before performing the tire change that they would not have done the tire change or would have at least notified me of the preexisting damage before proceeding. That means to me that it was not damaged before the tire change was done. And it’s unlikely that the damage was sustained afterwards because there is no damage to the tire consistent with the damage to the rim. Overall there is a lack of responsibility being taken and a lot of run around which has cost me weeks of inconvenience. I would not recommend anyone take their vehicles here.

This review come from someone who’s worked retail for ten years and in no way is it a critique of the workers at this tire shop but rather a critique of their store and shop manager(s) for not having good policies in place during a bad situation. Also, for arguments sake let me separate Costco the wholesaler versus this Costco tire center for a second. The wholesaler has:
1. Great prices on tires.
2. Good warranty
3. Great additional services for the money like tire rebalance, rotation, flat repair, etc.
However, a few things came very evident at this location over my short three hour wait:
1. Poor management. I was quoted an hour to an hour and a half wait for a tire repair but it took three hours because a technician called out. While that happens and it’s no one’s fault for a bad situation, it’s highly sus that no one else wanted to pickup an extra shift.
2. While I sat and waited, the attendant was hustling and bustling. Picking up phones, caring for complaints, checking people in and out of the shop all while being relatively pleasant but obviously stressed. Again, why there wasn’t another person to help out from inside the store is beyond my understanding. It is a cash register and checking people in and out, it’s not rocket science and any tire sales can be deferred to a tech.
3. I saw customers receive notifications that the car was ready but in fact were not and had to wait an additional 10 - 20 minutes. Meanwhile other customer keys were misplaced or temporarily lost.
4. Instead of acknowledging the fact they were short staffed and overbooked. No one communicated that to incoming customers, blindsiding them to the extremely long wait.
Again, it’s not all bad. The attendant went out of his way to service people with obvious serious problems and was professional while working with rude customers. It’s just terrible to see managers fail their employees because of their bad policies.

Laura helped and taught me how to use the tire inflator today. I also watched her show such patience and kindness to an elderly woman who expressed concerns/many questions about her tires. Laura was so patient with her (and me too) and I watched her assisting others who had questions, needed assistance with tires/service- she did it with a smile. It was such a refreshing experience that I had to write a review. Kudos to her!

Horrible experience I came to replace the tire sensors in the vehicle, staff was unable to compete the replacement. To make it worse the sensors that were working no longer worked. Waiting over 4 hours to have horrible service is unacceptable. I expected better service at Costco. UPDATE: after waiting 4 hours staff asked me to go to another Costco as they couldn’t install them.

Horrible experience. They damaged the inside of my vehicle while under their care. The service agent admitted it when I showed him what happened and I went inside to file a claim to get it fixed.
When confronted by management later about the issue, he denied it and lied. Costco customer service said they couldn’t see the damage on the camera footage so it didn’t happen. The damage was inside the car so no way to see it.
You hear all the stories about the great Costco customer service but at least at this location that doesn’t exist. Avoid at all cost.

This location damaged my steering wheel. Steering wheel had a cut mark in it. Costco customer service investigated and determined because they wore gloves theres no way they could have damaged the car.
Would not use this tire center as they don't take care of customer vehicles.
Offered me a $75 gift card for the inconvenience.

I was so impressed with the office staff on 4/12. Between ordering the tires a week before, and coming in for installation, I encountered 4 different staff members behind the counter. They were efficient, courteous, polite, helpful, patient with customers, and willing to go out of their way to assist each one of us. I was impressed!!!
