had been searching for the right hairstylist for years. I’m extremely particular about my hair—it’s long, thick, jet-black Italian hair, and I’ve always dreamed of achieving a soft, golden honey balayage. But every time I mentioned it to a stylist, I was met with hesitation. Most didn’t think it was possible to lift my dark hair to the warm tones I wanted, and although a few gave it a try, the results were always just okay—never quite what I envisioned.
Then, a few months ago, I stumbled across a video on Instagram. This woman was working what I can only describe as magic on every kind of hair imaginable. I had to find out who she was. After some digging, I found out her name was Eva—and to my disappointment, she was all the way in Florida, while I’m based in North Carolina.
Still, I reached out. I sent Eva a few pictures and videos of my hair, along with some inspo shots, and asked if what I wanted was even possible. She was honest and upfront—she said it might not be exactly like the photos, but that she could get me very close. That honesty sealed the deal for me.
I had a trip planned to visit family in Florida, and I made an appointment months in advance, planning to drive three hours from Orlando to Boca Raton just to see her at Erin Kelly Salon. And let me tell you… it was so worth it.
Eva is nothing short of a hair fairy 🧚♀️. She took her time, treated my hair with such care, and worked pure magic. The transformation was incredible. My hair has never looked this good or this healthy. I’m absolutely obsessed—and so is everyone else! I’ve been stopped by strangers asking where I got it done.
