I rented the car of my dreams for 12 days thanks to Jose Labanino and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The price was affordable without sacrificing quality and the service was professional from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, the process was smooth and I felt completely taken care of the entire time. It’s rare to find someone in this business who is both honest and reliable but he truly stands out. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending him to anyone looking for an unforgettable rental experience

Poor, unresponive customer service and nearly impossible to navigate phone cusromer service system with poorly trained and supported representatives and no one picking up phone at local return office during their stated business hours. Plus other past unresolved customer service issues.

Very disappointing experience with Hertz Boca Raton (181 NW 13th Street).
On July 9th, my father made a prepaid reservation for a Compact SUV (ID 8835074) (pickup August 23rd, return September 13th, 2025). Despite booking well in advance, when I arrived to collect my vehicle, I was told there were no SUVs available.
Instead, Hertz only offered me a Kia K4 Sedan — a clear downgrade from what I had paid for. I even tried to upgrade to a 7-seater, but was informed that no larger cars were available either.
It is unacceptable that a prepaid, confirmed reservation is not honored and that customers are left with downgraded, poorly prepared vehicles. Very frustrating experience, and I would strongly reconsider renting from Hertz again.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I was there at 5:01 pm as I was speaking to a rep in the parking lot. My app says I have a 2 hour hold on the car with no other information. I was told they close systems 15 min prior to closing and there’s nothing they can do to help even though everything was pre paid and checked in on my account. I explained my sister is getting married and I was leaving after work, they responded it wasn’t their problem and they’re closed. I spoke to another rep who laughed and said good luck. Spoke to one more person cleaning the cars who was actually kind enough to tell me to call the 1 800 number and ask them to switch it to west palm beach, which thankfully is what happened. All I can say is the guy cleaning the cars should be the guy running the show. When a customer needs help you help them. Even if it takes 5 min extra. Not leave them in a parking lot with zero plan or idea on what to do. When you click in the app to cancel it it will take all of your money and offer you like 30$ refund. All I can say is customer service is over ZERO importance here. Ironically I have rented before here and seen how terrible the service is just never directly to me. Being on the other side really makes you scratch your head and wonder how these people have a job. I can keep going but would be redundant. If in boca save the time and go elsewhere. Pay a few dollars more and you get better service at any other rental spot. Theres a reason they have 3 starts.

This location is really slow, really slow, take a million photos, and most cars have a strange smell as they probably try to clean them quickly for turnover. They try to upsell all sorts of things , and try to change the rental price a notch higher from what you book online . Also, they never provide a full tank of gas so you are left trying to guess how much to put in the tank upon return. They charge a $20 convenience fee for tolls, the enterprise and sixt down the road don’t do that to me. Won’t be renting here anymore .

Excellent customer service! This is my second time renting from this location and the staff is always very pleasant and informative. I was in and out of the office in no time thanks to the excellent team at the Boca Hertz location! THANK YOU! I Highly recommend them to anyone!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I don't even want to go into the details of what that happened here because there are so many and this review would be five pages long. But I will say that the white guy in a white collared shirt (meaning no uniform) that looked to be a General Manager or possibly even the owner of this location is a complete jerk. The way he spoke to me was unacceptable. I will never EVER come back here, not even if they offer me a free car. I ended up canceling my reservation right there in the shop and made a reservation right away at SIXT five minutes away, where the service was incredible and I was given a free upgrade to a beautiful SUV.

They don't picking up the phone, ever. When you go in person, they are rude, condescending and act they are the paying customer. I have no high expectations with a rental service; hi, give me the keys please, thank you and see you later. You have failed to meet this level.

Never rent an EV from them! (Kia)
They didn’t provide any adapters or chargers. They charged us $1.36 per kWh — it cost us $90 to recharge after driving only 220 miles!
Most public chargers take 20 hours to charge or aren’t even compatible
Second problem the car was going left alone on the freeway, I went to Fort Lauderdale airport and they said they didn't have any similar EV. It makes sense the car is 45000 miles !
