This place is terrible. This isn’t the first issue we’ve had, but it’s the most telling. They decided to alter the return policy on brand new, unopened generators. We purchased a generator “just in case” a few days before Ian. Before we purchase it, we asked if it was returnable. Of course, they said, as long as it is not used/opened. We ended up evacuating, so we went to return the unused generator purchased a week ago, and surprise! A store associate says “no returns on generators”. My receipt says the return policy is 30 days, and the Home Depot website states that the return policy is 30 days for generators. Can you change the rules after purchase? Well Bonita Springs Home Depot thinks so. The associate manager we spoke to was unapologetic and said that they changed the policy because of the storm. Preying on consumers that just survived a Cat 4 hurricane, that’s just disgusting.

If you know what you need and how to use it , HD can be useful as a supplier. If you need assistance, info. or advice about a product or how to use and install it, then forget HD. At least 90% of the "aprons" are totally unqualified. Experience is not required to be employed by HD. It is part of Company's personnel mgmt. philosophy that a 65% labor turnover ratio is fully acceptable regardless of customer dissatisfaction.

Unbelievable that I cancelled an order for a washer and dryer July 25th. I was mailed a bill for the items that were NEVER installed and also still have that charge online in my account. I have called 3 time to have this corrected. How do you bill for items never received?? Will never purchase from them again.

We all make mistakes. It's how we recover from those mistakes that define our character. This is especially true in the customer service business. My father had an issue with a lost gift card. When he initially went to the store he was dismissed by the cashiers and told that he was out of luck. I went back tonight and dealt with a wonderful person who listened to me patiently, I was pretty upset. And when I'm upset, I'm no fun at all. She made it right and then some. I hope the corporate office reads this review. I hope they fix their issue with replacing lost and stolen gift cards as is outlined on the back of each card. But, most importantly, I certainly hope this staff member is rewarded ...unfortunately I did not get her name. I am grateful.

We ordered some windows in December 2020, one year later the job is not complete, if you call them nobody knows anything, they don’t care about customer service!

Worst customer service experience of all time. Bought a grill and was told to stand by the front doors to wait for a key. After 15 minutes I asked if they could try again. 10-12 employees walk by, don’t say a single word. After 20 minutes (who I was told was the manager) this lady walks right past us, doesn’t say a word, walks outside for 3 seconds and walks back in and gets on a register. After 25 minutes I ask the girl one more time what’s going on, she says “oh sorry, she didn’t see anyone outside so now you have to wait because she’s on a register.” I said enough is enough and to have a nice day. I walked out after paying with no product. I’ll never step foot back in this store which is a shame. I’ve spent over 20k at this location for fencing, etc. Never again. I’ll be calling the home office on Monday.

They offer a great service of cutting boards/wood/laminate for you. But.........the man cutting it doesn’t need to be so rude . Not only did he not help in getting the material down , thank goodness I had my son but then he was incredibly rude when asking for measurements . Not sure if he couldn’t hear me properly after the 4th time of asking me to repeat so I showed him on my phone the measurements I needed , then he said “I can read that “ and then asked if he wanted me to

Go to Lowe's. Tool rental here is terrible. I rented a breaker and they gave me the wrong head. I had to drive 30 min, 1 way, back to swap it out. I once rented their truck, but it couldn't be found in their own lot. I once tried to purchase over $300 dollars in fencing, and upon check out, cashier and I find out the planks were placed in the wrong spot with wrong price tag ($35 planks in the place of the $9.98 planks). Nope, return those and pay better attention. Today, I called to inquire about a tool rental. The 1st call in the person picked up phone and clearly just hung up. 2nd call back the HD guy just told me "I don't know nothing about computer stuff!" when asked if the tool had wheels like on the website photo. I'll go to Lowe's.
