Havent been in a traditional diner in ages. I'm so thrilled to find this is actually one in food as well as looks. 10/10 recommend ? will be one of our go-to favorite places from now on.

Always a great place for great food at a great price. Portions are always large. Staff can be hit or miss on personality, but it's a diner and not expecting 5 star service.
On our menu, you’ll find old-time favorites likes steak and seafood, along with a great variety of fresh salads, sandwiches, milkshakes, homemade dessert, and a sensational breakfast. Locals have voted us The Best All-Around Restaurant for many years in a row.

When nostalgia for diner food strikes at the same time as hunger pangs, enter Mel's Diner---easy to recognize and a welcome counterpoint to fast food franchises or up-market eclectic menus. This menu isn't quite stuck in the 50s even if the decor is. And some options are definitely not politically correct in terms of today's fad diets. We're talking about chili-cheese fries and beer-battered onion rings. On the other hand, there are homemade soups and chili. Salads are a little trendy, sometimes coming with chicken strips. There is also non-traditional diner food: the roasted herb chicken is a welcome entrée. A half-dozen omelets are available anytime, and there is even a trio of options labeled lite fare.
