Jen May, owner of Senior Helpers, was waiting in the NCH hospital lobby when I was discharged, presenting me with a contract to engage me to sign a contract for her senior home health care services because of my neuropathy. Strange for her to be there. I did need help as I have no one to help me. Hence, I signed a contract for 24/7 care for one week. She had all the paperwork ready to be signed. Unfortunately, her care givers were not reliable...I should say the night shift care givers were not reliable because they came to sleep in my home during their shift rather than stay awake and keep an eye on me if I needed help ambulating, toileting, or whatever during the night. Three consecutive nights, three different care givers did in fact sleep throughout the night. My dispute against the charges with Wells Fargo were declined in favor of Senior Helpers because WF said Senior Helpers "provided the services." What a joke. And I signed a contract! But WF didn't even abide by the FTC Fair Credit Billing Act that provides consumers with protection from charges for services that weren't delivered or that were received but were not as described. Therefore, I refused to continue with such "service". But to no avail, WF sided in favor of an unehtical Senior Helpers and kept the contract fee I signed for $5,376.00 plus added late charges, to be paid by me. That's what I call taking advantage of a 74-year-old single lady who did not receive the care she was supposed to receive from a greedy company who did not care about services I received, but only the MONEY that the owner contracted me for from her antics of engaging me into signing a contract IN A HOSPITAL LOBBY when I was being discharged. And WF proved to be useless. My documentation from Senior Helpers shows only shift hours, no detailed list of services they provided. What a BIG RIP-OFF BY BOTH SENIOR HELPERS AND WELLS FARGO.

I highly recommend Senior Helpers. The caregivers treated my father with kindness and respect and the owner couldn’t have been more accommodating.

I do not recommend this agency. We had many no show, no calls. Instead of a consistent person coming it was mostly someone new. This meant going back to square one as far as familiarity with my mother and needs/routines. We were also billed (via credit card) and had to request refunds for no shows. The owner/manager did not even know that no one showed up. I guess they do not get calls from their people(???). The final straw was sending a 19yr old unvaccinated person to my 86yr old mother’s house. What home care agency does this? To top it off - owner is extremely rude. Truly unbelievably bad.

I had a very bad experience with this agency the people they sent out was extremely low class and many of the items were stolen from my home and even though I reported it they refuse to do anything about it. Also made up lies about me to the VA. Because I complained about their caregivers. I would not trust them in my home at all. I have a new caregiver from another agency that’s been here for quite some time and she’s been absolutely perfect.

Both Jennifer the coordinator, as well as Maria the actual companion spending time with my mother are very compassionate and thoughtful and efficient. I can’t say anything bad about these people. I will continue to use them. The prices are comparable to everyone else but the service is impeccable.
