Friendly, caring staff who work together to make the pets and owners feel comfortable in a stressful situation. Pricing seems a bit high but might be in line with this area of the U.S. I would still recommend this group for anyone with an urgent pet car need.

Extremely caring and supportive team that knows their stuff. But their way of explaining the billing, especially to distressed pet owners is not ideal. Make sure you really understand the cost before you make your decisions. The cost of emergency care is understandably high, but even knowing that I was surprised by what the amount I paid for actually got my pet terms of the amount of days he was cared for. When I realized that and couldn’t afford to continue care, the team did everything in their power to help me find another solution and to feel comfortable that I wasn’t giving up on my pet. If it wasn’t for the confusing billing estimates VEG would’ve received five stars. So 5 stars for the care and expertise of the team but 3 for transparency of cost.

The care at VEG is always great, we have seen various drs and nurses over the years with all of our doggies and everyone there is excellent. Dr Gonzalez and Nurse Sharee are wonderful.

Please trust your gut and be very careful with VEG ER, especially with Dr. Oceana. I brought my senior dog in because he suddenly started breathing rapidly. After a quick ultrasound, I was told he was in heart failure and that his lungs were full of fluid. I was told the only way he would survive was to stay in an oxygen tank for days and go through multiple tests before treatment, with a bill over $6,000.
When I said I couldn’t afford that, euthanasia was suggested to me. Hearing that about my dog in such a vulnerable moment broke me. I started to believe maybe this was truly the end for him. I asked if he could just be stabilized so I could take him home and see his primary vet in the morning. I was told he would suffer and die if I didn’t agree to keep him there.
Something in my gut told me this didn’t feel right. I took him home anyway. The very next day, his cardiologist told me he had no fluid in his lungs and that he is not in heart failure — his heart is simply working harder because he is a senior dog.
I cannot explain the emotional damage of being told to put your pet down when they are not actually dying. Please, please trust your instincts when it comes to your pet. In moments of panic and fear, it is easy to be pressured into devastating decisions. If I had listened that night, my dog might not be here today.
I truly hope no one else has to go through the fear and heartbreak I experienced. Get a second opinion if you can. Your pet’s life is worth more than rushed decisions made under pressure.

I cannot say enough about VEG and how wonderful they were taking care of our Vivian. Vivi is a King Charles Cavalier and she was attacked by a large dog at the dog park. We are from NY and do not have an established vet here, but we instantly felt comfortable the second we walked in the door. The woman at the front desk, Andy, was so kind and caring. She got us into a room right away. Vivian was treated by Dr. Gonzalez who was absolutely amazing. Her first question was what happened to Vivian, followed by if we (my wife and I) were okay. She can see we were all traumatized. My wife, was also bit and Dr. Gonzalez insisted that she go get her finger checked at the walk-in clinic next door.
Vivi had 2 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and puncture wounds from the dog biting onto her body. They took such good care of her. The vet tech Eddie was so professional, warm, and compassionate. Dr. Gonzalez was as well and she thoroughly explained what was wrong with Vivi and how they were going to treat her. She updated us through out the afternoon and presented a plan to us whether Vivi was going to stay the night or we bring her home. She was completely honest, not pushy and treated us with such respect. We were not familiar with VET and their policies, but once Vivi was admitted we were able to come back at anytime and go in the the back to see her and stay with her if we wanted. We have never been able to do that but they welcome that. They have nothing to hide and they truly make you feel at home. They even offered us snacks, coffee and drinks.
Needless to say this was the best veterinary experience I have had and Vivi is our 7th dog. They even called today to check on her. I highly recommend them and would give them 10 stars if I could!
Thank you again for the wonderful care that you provided for our Vivi. We are very grateful! Betsy, Maryann, Vivi and Cinnamon ❤️

Dr. Krone is excellent and this ER Vet greatly exceeded my expectations. Also, I was in and out within one hour which is unheard of. I now, have a trusting, affordable, new ER Vet!
The supporting staff is also wonderful and accommodating to both the patient and fur baby parent helping to keep everyone calm. They also allow you back with your fur baby at all times and are very thorough and work with you on treatment plan options.

Dr. Cuba, Allie and all of the staff were exceptional from the moment we walked in with Nani. Everyone was knowledgeable, informative, loving and took such great care of him as if he was the only patient they were treating. Everyone was so affectionate with him which kept him calm despite the fact that he wasn’t feeling well. We got to stay with him the entire time and were asked numerous times if we wanted or needed anything. He was diagnosed and treated immediately and we were in and out within 2 hours. This was the most pleasant vet ER experience we have ever had. The cost was also very reasonable. We would highly recommend VEG.
