We had high hopes with it’s good location and fun outdoor appearance. Went in as part of working on a blog about ice cream shops on the island. There were only 3 children working, no adults were present. Kids were pleasant and trying to do their best. The fountain drink machine was broken. The soft serve machine was broken. They were unable to make floats. And the fudges cases advertised were completely empty. Not kept very clean inside. Attempted to find any social media page to message or an email on website unsuccessfully. Unfortunately would not be an island business I would ever recommend.

I have been going to this place every single year for about 10+ years during my yearly trip to AMI. It was my family’s tradition to go here. They had the best banana split and ice cream flavors. Unfortunately I don’t know what happened over the years but I went 2 weeks ago and it was HORRIBLE. First of all, they were out of almost every single good flavor of ice cream. Everything I would ask for, they were out of. Mind you, it was only about 5:30ish. I ended up choosing Rocky Road(only “good” flavor left) which was explained in the description as having marshmallows and almonds. When I ate my ice cream, I kid you not, I had ONE almond. ONE! The rest was plain chocolate ice cream. Absolutely NO marshmallows at all. Why not just advertise it as choco ice cream? Extremely disappointed. To top it all off, the workers seemed so annoyed at us. For no good reason. You could tell they did not want to work there:/ All in all, my 10+ years of going here just ended. I will not be coming back. I found a new ice cream spot thats WAYYYYY better. And delicious! Do yourself a favor and read the reviews before going to Joes eats and sweets;)

We came right after covid lockdown was taken down. Place had shower curtain separation between customers and employees. Very creative in this time of our lives... Ice cream was delicious and lots of choices ; however, place itself needs some work. Seating area looked rough... thats all I am going to say.

The ice cream was very good, and there were many flavors available that sounded interesting. I am giving it 4 stars because the only they were out of many of the ingredients required to make most of the sundaes on the menu. We tried to order 4 different sundaes but ended up designing our own sundae with the ingredients they had on hand, and it was quite yummy !

I got two cups of shaved ice for my kids. Got charged $14.00. I was surprised to say the least, but they said shaved ice was 7.00 each. There was a cup that size on the counter that said shaved ice- 3.00. ( we were also told there was only this one size available) they took the cup off the counter and said "who did that?" As we were sitting there, I felt like I remembered reading somewhere else that they were 3.00 and then as we were leaving I took a picture of it. Yep.... first and last time we'll be here! Also got charged 25 cents per item for it being "to-go" but I imagine everything is to-go and we weren't asked if we wanted it to-go..... Just meh. A disappointment for sure. We'll stick to 'Two Scoops' at the north end of the island- now there's a great ice cream shop!!

We went on a weekday. They offered very few of the items on the menu. Less than half of the ice cream flavors were available. The employees seemed worried about following rules and did not have knowledge of what they offer, etc. It did not feel clean. They were not wearing masks while handling the ice cream. This place had a lot of potential and I wonder if it is a much better place outside of "covid times".

In my opinion as a year round local, Joe's has the best ice cream. But with the island being a Covid 19 hot spot and masks being mandatory at the north end, I was shocked to walk in and a server behind the counter had no mask on. It's their freedom to chose not to enforce employee's to wear a mask just as it's my freedom to not risk my health for their product. Congrat's on your financial success!

Bad service. Just Bad everything. I walked into the store and they only had 8 flavors out. It was 5pm when I got ice cream. But they staff acted like they were closing and were so rude. It's open to 10pm btw.

Very disappointed. I'm not for writing negative reviews but I hope the owner of this business will take notes. The staff seemed uninterested in serving our family and unaware of the menu and flavors available. The establishment was dirty and dusty, napkin holders empty, and tables needed cleaning. Seeing the 3 teenagers behind the counter standing around doing nothing, the place should be in pristine order.

Terrible terrible terrible. The first time we tried going here, the employees turned away us (group of 4), plus about 12-14 other customers at 8:50pm saying they were closed. When someone in the other group said the website said they were open until 10, the blonde high school cashier said the website was wrong. We decide to give them another chance and went back tonight. Our first clue should've been the large group of several families walk out without ordering anything. Overpriced is an understatement. $6.99 for a small milkshake. $7.99 for a scoop of vanilla with a squirt of hot fudge. They charge extra for a sugar cone (which is "free" everywhere else), extra if you take it to go, extra for lids. No napkins were available. Over half of the ice cream flavors they advertise were out. The coolers were broken. The chocolate was melted and looked like slop. Add to it the irritable server, and I wouldn't even give this place one star. Try "Island Scoops" a block farther down. Better ice cream, better service and way more reasonably priced.

This place was dirty and had the rudest staff I have seen since being on the island....especially the long blonde who seemed like she would rather be anywhere else but there. We were not greeted at all and she used her bare hands and touched all over my cone. The brownie ice cream was terrible and they were out of many flavors. They turned away about 30 customers trying to walk in the door before closing saying they weren't taking any more. When I walked out I noticed a long line of people who thought they had to wait outside. I would suggest they update their hours and be more clear or lock the door when closing. Do yourself a favor and try island scoops a couple blocks down.
