Great little place with a very nice pool and hot tub area in the middle. You dont get all the amenities of a big chain hotel but this is a nice quiet little place and very close to the beach and a ton of little shopping stores, restaurants, bars, and a convenience store for anything you forgot. We certainly could have stayed within a 3 block radius the entire time we were here.

The room was clean and spacious. There were 3 of us and we only needed it for one night (10/19/2023). I was happy to find a place that would allow a one night stay! We were so close to Bridge Street, the fishing pier and the beach that we could walk. Even my mother with hip problems was able to walk to some of the shops & back to the room to rest. Very convenient for all of us. The pool area was very nice! My only complaint was the hot tub... it did not get hot. Set the timer for 15 min waiting for it to heat up but never did so I called the office and they sent a maintenance man to check it out. We went to eat and came back but to our surprise it still wasn't hot. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't utilize that amenity. I gave 4 stars for service on that detail but other than that it was a positive outcome. Check in was easy and I would definitely stay here again. We had room 609.

Room was clean not worth the money and not good for four adultsLighting was great if you like airport brightTable was for childrenBeds were very uncomfortableWe had to go up a flight of stairs, which we were never told about could’ve presented a problem for one of our friendsChannel selection very poorBathroom was only the size of a powder room in the middle of our living. Space awkwardSo glad we only spent one night, but was very overpricedOh, and did I mention originally we could not get onto the island for our first reservation because of the hurricane, but they were unwilling to provide a refund also, they charged 12% resort fee which is very high no ice eitherLocation good

This place is absolutely amazing with a new pool and hot tub and all the rooms are looking brand new. We had an amazing time. I can’t even describe how great this was. I will edit this later with some details.

The lighting on the outside needs to be fixed, it is too dark at night. And showers need grab bars, walk in should always have grab bars. Otherwise, the outside area with chairs and grill is excellent, nice breeze and enough area for family sit down and relax.

This was our first time at AMI, and stayed at the Pelican Post from May 1, 2023 thru May 5, 2023. The room was clean and comfortable ; perfect location to Bridge St for shopping, and a few minute walk to the beach. The pool was nice, but could have been warmer and the hot tub wasn’t hot; no warmer water was coming out from the jets. However, …… our one complaint was the lock/key pad and key( we had to open the “ lockbox” outside the room to obtain the room key, which is used as a backup to the touchpad). We had issues/unable to open the door from the time we arrived until the time we left. We were not the only people that had this issue. A real negative point was when we, again, couldn’t open our room door and had to wait, in the heat, outside our room for approximately 50 minutes. When the maintenance men came, they were very apologetic and amiable. We told them no problem, once they opened up the door almost immediately. The issue was, in addition to waiting 50 minutes, was when the General Manager Anthony called me and stated that he heard that I was “slightly “ irritated. I told him that I was more than slightly irritated. All he kept repeating and inquiring was if we were able to get into our room. He NEVER apologized for this continuous key issue, or validated my concerns. When we punched in the code to get into the room, we didn’t hear the sounds when pressing the code or the sound of the bolt moving, again others had issues as well. For the amount of money we paid for the 4 nights, shouldn’t have been any issues! One of the front desk staff, Nicole, was very helpful and exhibited good customer service when we, again, could not enter our room due to the above issue.

Generally, this place is actually pretty great. The location is fantastic and the rooms are comfortable and vary widely across the resort properties. Thanks to FEMA and Hurricane Ian destroying my home and everything in it, I’ve been turned nomad and we were at this joint for 45 days…untilThey gave us only 36 hours notice to vacate, assuring us it wasn’t us, that they’d discontinued their contract with FEMA because of season. So for the next 44 hours or so, I proceeded to break down and pack up the contents of our room. Dripping with sweat and in pain from dehydration and lack of sleep, the assistant manager, Anthony, makes an appearance at our doorstep, brandishing his phone that supposedly showed the 36 hours notice to vacate (it didn’t. On the contrary, it actually proved us right….). Up until that moment, I’d had nothing but positive interactions with everyone around - staff and other guest. And now here’s the situation: I’m sweaty and otherwise disheveled, exhausted from everything (did I mention that I’m currently disabled? Well, I am.) and this guy is standing in the doorway, demanding to know when I was vacating when it was quite obvious that I was trying my best to vacate. After insistently shoving his phone in my face so I could see the supposed proof he had, his justification for treating us like Street trash instead of amenable guests who rarely even asked anything out of the housekeeping and cleaned up after every dog staying there, just in case. And this arrogant grouchy tiny man just had to be right and feel better about his life by trying to make ours more challenging than it already was. After Anthony threatened to call the police to escort me off the property and three Ubers later, we were successfully checked out. I would’ve considered giving this five stars but between Anthony the assistant manager and all of the attendant melodrama from it, I’m left with a bad taste in my mouth and more than a little bit disgusted by how poorly it was handled.

Excellent location to walk to Bridge St, AMOB, bay, and beach! Rooms were clean and modern and we received daily room service. There are people living in rooms with pets, I'm sure due to recent hurricane. One guy let his dog pee on the walkway and he was spitting on it too. You could tell his room had selling second hand goods. Another family with a dog that barked in the room, they had broken blinds on the window, and didn't clean up after themselves in the garden. Another family was living out of their car and the room. It was great folks had a clean safe place to stay but it was awkward and made me a lil nervous with so many people with personal belongings in and out of the cars and dogs. One room specifically made me very nervous.I will go back again but will ask questions before booking.

Very nice place to stay on Anna Maria Island. Super short (5 min) walk to the beach, coffee shop, putt putt, restaurants etc. The room itself was newly renovated and very cozy.Beautiful pool area too, but for some reason the hot tub wasn’t hot when we were there.Overall it was an excellent experience at the Pelican Post.
