Wow, what else can I say. I came in after backing my Cadillac into my garage door. The trunk would not open or close, there was a big dent and the whole rear chassis was misaligned. I shopped around and every body guy told me the same thing “we will have to buy a new rear hatch, paint it, and attach it, at a cost of about $1800. I stopped by fields, listen, I’ve grown up in Sarasota-Bradenton and we all know what the red barn area is like. This ain’t no fancy dealership where you sit down on a comfy couch and get a cup of coffee, this is a guy who is no frills and knows his business. He took one look at the SUV and said “I don’t need no parts, no problem” told me he could get the job done for $600.
I was dubious that either the job wouldn’t be done well or that once i dropped the car off I’d get the “so we found xyz and that price changed” call, but that didn’t happen.
After just a few days I come back to find not only that my rear hatch is opening and closing flawlessly, but the dent is quite literally non-existent. Somehow he matched my paint exactly and made thar dent disappear.
Please take my actual real world review to heart and trust that this is an honest mechanic. Paul is a gem of a human being and he cares, he knows this area, he knows our people, and he knows how to do work the right way.

I wrecked my car and took it to fields auto body repair i went to check on the status of my repair was standing right in front of my car and didnt recognize it the paint looked like it was still wet my cars paint never faded till i got rid of it years later

Keep your car way too long and they charge you one price then change it months later no small amount change either went up 800 more dollars over entail agreement paint job have runs in it .

My boss went here to get his car repaired they did a phenomenal job looks really good. I've actually had my car worked on here a couple years ago. The staff is very friendly and the service is good and the prices are very reasonable. I always recommend this place for body work
