Note: This review applies to all Goodwill Manasota locations.
I've been a Goodwill Manasota customer for years, and before that I was a Goodwill Manasota employee for years. This past year has seen a drastic drop off in quality of goods (not the donations themselves but rather the attention to detail of that item (e.g. if it's broken or missing pieces in some way)), customer service (they have minimized assistance at treasure island, relying on cashiers to assist which can result in a long wait when they are busy), and worst of all a drastic increase in prices on most items when people go to Goodwill specifically to find things at reasonable prices that they can't afford elsewhere.
Today, they have introduced a new color tag structure for newsletter customers. This has resulted in the removal of the daily 5% discount for said newsletter customers. This may not sound bad, but for their most loyal (daily) customers like myself this is perhaps the most negative change they have made in years, adding on to the already increased prices. Not only that, but this new structure only encourages people not to buy items at full price and instead wait for the deal days, how this will go is yet to be seen but I highly doubt it will result in overall more satisfied customers.
Edit: Nearly forgot another negative change, they have also made returns within a 24 hour timeframe extremely difficult. They go so far as to claim that returns aren't even allowed for broken items, but so far I've been able to manage to return the items - not without headache.
I sincerely love Goodwill and I hope, for their own sake, they reconsider these negative changes they have made over the past year.

This place was by far the absolute WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. The managers were the rudest people I've ever seen wearing a customer service badge. The staff were just as rude and couldn't be less helpful. I've never experienced such disrespect, rudeness and more. I'm taking this matter to the corporate level of management. I only gave 1 star because I couldn't give zero and be able to warn others or this horrible place.

The corporate location is big and has a lot of inventory but the prices are high. The quality of the items is good and you can still find a deal but it isn’t as easy as it used to be. Here are some finds from my most recent trip.

There not good wil at all I was incorrectly and innocent trass pass out the place for my back pack looking for my fone they are racists and not polite a all the manager on the place knowing that I was innocent she didn't help me and call the police and got me trass pass my lawyer is going to investigate them I will take action on the case

Yesterday you had a situation with supposedly a manager where she yelled at my children and didn't even answer the store why my children were using a game that I was going to buy! Her manager or supervisor's name is Lakisha. I understand that they should not have a manager, so it is a store where a lot of Hispanics and Americans go and we are all the same and she, with very hostile language and a very loud tone, offended us and even made my daughter cry! ! So I will not give you a good recommendation because it is no longer a store where you can take your family and have good treatment.Yesterday you had a situation with supposedly a manager where she yelled at my children and didn't even answer the store why my children were using a game that I was going to buy!
