Bad business. they increased my rate 2 months after I got in. make sure you get out of the contract 1 month before you want to vacate or they will charge you another month. They got me on that. Make sure you keep a lock on your door at all times. I took my lock off for one day at the beginning of the last month and they locked me out for the rest of the month and refused to refund me for the month. When you go in the lobby you will be greeted by an online "virtual manager" who was useless. Horrible customer service. Oh and the gate was "broken" and left wide open for some of the time I was there. I had a very bad experience. Location was: State Road 70 E, Bradenton, FL

Has to be one of the worse places to rent a unit from. Bad customer service and horrible pricing with 2 raises a year. New customers pay a little less than old ones, so loyalty is nonexistent. Management should all be retrained and reprogrammed to be better customer service reps. Took me 5 phone calls to finally get a call back and was basically told by their manager to leave if I don't like it. I just want to thank their horrible management team for motivating me to do my research and get another unit. I not only got another unit. It is double the size for a lot less than I was paying here. Went there yesterday to close my unit and there was nobody there. I wound speaking to a virtual agent. So, if this is the type of customer service you want and high prices. This is your place.

UPDATE 11/9/23Just received a call from new Manager Conner. He basically called to tell me if I don’t like being overcharged to get out and find new place. Had the nerve to tell me it’s supply and demand. Well I got news for them that place is not even 50% full. He also said it is policy to raise rent every 6 months. Bet they didn’t tell you that when you signed up.I’m gonna start looking and now I’m going to really spread the news about this place.Hi. This is a real unpaid review and not by a friend of anyone associated to MidgardI hope this review will steer you clear of this place. I have had a unit there for 1 year now and have had my rent raised 3 times. I have a 5x10 unit not even on the first floor and I'm being over charged. I have looked at several other facilities and their price is so much lower. I tried reaching out to their mgt several times. All they do is take my info and send it to their manager who just blows me off. It is definitely not the person who works their fault. It is the ownership/management of this facility. If a new person would go online, they would pay much cheaper than me and get the first month free. I am telling all the residents in my community and also all the members of my retired union association to stay away from here. It's unfortunate that people who run this place don't care about its customers.Please people don't use this place they will raise your rent and keep raising it forcing you to move all over again. Got here to a locked door with a sign on it asking to call a number if the door was locked. Called number multiple times with no answer. Another set of customers showed up with the same results. Finally, a woman opens the door after being M.I.A. For a half hour +. Truck/van was also filthy in the back. Then she tells us all of a sudden that the dolly we pre-rented online isn’t there and they don’t have dollys…dropped rental back off and business door was wide open with no one inside. Plenty of other places in town…

All of the people that work at Midgard Lena Road are really, really awesome!!! They are the most wonderful people on the face of the Earth!!! I think Midgard is the greatest company in the entire universe, etc.Peace.

Terrible customer service. Need to give 30 days notice which is fine BUT they will not prorate a month so ended up paying for two months instead of one to move out. no clue how to treat customers. DO not Recommend this storage place. Rip people off.

I Reserved a trunk came to pick it up and there was no truck, door locked, no call to say there was an emergency. Nothing!!! Bad business

I recently entered into leases for two units with Midgard, and I had the pleasure of working with K. She truly made the entire process incredibly smooth and hassle-free. I value individuals who excel in their roles and can confidently address all inquiries, and K certainly met those expectations.

Great place to rent a U-Haul trailer or truck. Friendly staff and amazing to work with. Midgard will definitely be our go to facility for storage and U-Haul services. Thanks for the great customer service and experience.

Site is clean, washroom on site and climate controlled. Site is easy to get to and has good security. Management checks units on regular basis to make sure they are locked. I incorrectly locked my unit, they notified me and put a lock on it until I could return to the site.

Cheapest rate around but after a few months they hike up the price. Always have trouble with the gate and have to go in and talk to someone. 75% of the time my code doesn’t work. Fees left and right when you sign up. I get emails constantly for collections notices that I have a past due balance of $0.00.

Staff was so helpful. I was in a bind and they were very patient with me and helped me out in the hugest way. Because of midgard my belongings are safe and secure.

Cheapest quote in the area so I took a chance and it was bait and switch 5 months later. Rates jumped from $190/mo to $210. I was in climate control and temp was in the 80’s though the thermostat was set on 78°. The AC was clearly not working correctly in my hall because it was blowing out warm air & not cooling; also the other halls on different AC units were notably cooler. I contacted the office to report it (including pic of hall thermostat) and they blew it off. Sure the thermostat may have been set at 78 but that doesn’t mean the unit was working. With medical supplies in storage it was important that climate control be as advertised. My concern fell on deaf ears & I don’t think they even investigated it.FYI, they do not prorate rent so be sure to give notice a full calendar month (before the 1st) so you don’t get stuck paying another month after vacating. Meanwhile they don’t hesitate to re-rent the unit collecting rent 2x’s that month. Crummy unilateral way to do real estate!The facilities are newer and clean. Staff was nice however corporate bureaucracy comes before customers. The manager was out dealing with an emergency and her other employee was helping me check in, but was stressed because she was “not allowed to work overtime”. You could tell the employee was trying to make the decision between helping me (and the lady behind me with a moving truck out front with nowhere to go with its contents) but she was worried she was going to “get in trouble for overtime”. It wasn’t that she wasn’t willing to stay & help. What a ridiculous policy when you have customers standing in line during business hours and no one to help them.

Very efficient and professional. Josh & Avery were terrific to work with and understanding/accommodating to all my moving needs. Could not recommend them any more highly!
