Went there today at 11:30 am to get some cat food. I waited by the register for a while until I approached two ladies that were casually talking. One of them happened to work there, so I asked her if there were any other employees in the store that could assist me (just to ring me up) and she walked away to the far corner of the store and continued talking to the lady she was standing with. Awful customer service.

Almost a year ago my 8 year old son won 5 fair goldfish at the Florida State Fair. We had to of course buy him a small 5 gal tank thinking they wouldn't survive. Here we are almost a year later and we have 4 flourishing goldfish (one died within the first week) in a five gallon tank with crystal clear water and perfect PH balance. (I can't explain it) My son has been watching fishing shows on YouTube and really wanted a pleco after catching multiple large ones at a local pond. Finally I took him to Petco where he wanted to get either a clown pleco or a bristlenose placo, both which are relatively small compared to the common pleco (his decision). I had advised him that it wasn't a good idea as his fish are doing well but he was adamant. He arrived at Petco with his own money and picked out his fish. He walked up to the associates and asked for help and asked questions about the differences between the two fish. He was then grilled with questions about his setup at home. He explained as best as an 8 year old could, what he had and what he wanted. The associate then refused to sell him a fish stating that 1 goldfish needs a 20 gallon tank, however she would be happy to sell us a bigger tank. Yet they have over a hundred in a tank that is nowhere near 2000 gallons. I didn't agree with him adding a fish to his tank but this is a kid that had his own money and is making a decision. He was crushed, he could have lied, I could have lied for him. However he is still upset about how he was treated. Sure Petco may have saved a $10 fish but this experience was worth more than that. shame on you!

I apologize. It was not Petco that had no dog kennels it was Pet Supermarket.

So, here’s the problem:
Today I was at Petco, I bought an aquarium in Walmart with a capacity of 10 gallons, according to the aquarium seller this can house up to 10 fish of tropical environment, I am very happy with my child to look for the fish and when the “friendly” lady arrived she explains to me that as a petco policy they can only sell 5 tropical environment fish for a 10-gallon fish tank and for a cold water fish (goldfish) my fish tank must be at least 15 gallons, anyway someone is not well, I look at an aquarium that had maybe 50 goldfish at least, He tells me that the aquarium is 40 gallons, I ask him that since they demanded 15 gallons for a goldfish and they had more than 50 goldfish in 40 gallons, she answers me that it was a temporary home, I imagine that all the goldfish have ID and know who has been in the fish tank the longest and so they can rotate them, in short, the hypocrisy, the truth is I am not at all happy with them.

I will give it five stars, there were packages labeled cat and dog next to the two cashiers. I reached for one to investigate what it was in the cashier got angry with me

I bought some super worms from this location today. I thought I bought 12 large ones but there was only 3 in there. Looked at the packaging after realizing I could only find 3 to see the top said 12 large super worms and the side said 50 small super worms. But either way I only got 3 😭 disappointed for sure.

Today I went to the store to buy a fish. I asked them about the water and one of the young lady she say the water was changed yesterday and she ask me do I needed her to change new water for and I say OK. The lady I talked to her name is Nancy with the short haircut she is very disrespectful. She grabbed the fish out of my hand to give me new water. She ROLL her eyes at me! I'm so disappointed.
