Great Shopping Experience, But Beware of the Credit Card Pitch
I really love shopping at TJMaxx! They always have a great selection of products at discounted prices. However, my experience was marred by the persistent attempts to get me to open a credit card at checkout. I finally gave in, and it was a mistake.
As soon as I opened the credit card (at the same day) my email address seemed to get sold to every spam database imaginable. I started receiving 10-20 emails daily from various brands, including Marshals,Home Depot, Sierra HomeGoods, Home Sense, Double Good and many others. It was overwhelming and unpleasant. I wasn't warned that signing up for the credit card would lead to this barrage of emails.
If TJMaxx could be more transparent about how they use customer information and perhaps tone down the aggressive credit card pitches, I'd be happy to give them 5 stars. As it stands, I'm giving them 3 stars. Maybe it's time to rethink their marketing strategy?
Will I still shop there? Yes. But I'll think twice about opening another credit card.

Found the store to be incredibly cluttered and messy. There were bins and boxes piled everywhere, products were all over the floor. Just not a pleasant place to go shopping. Forget about trying to go down an isle if someone has a cart with them because there’s just no room.

I like this TJ Maxx location. It's clean, organized and has a good selection. Generally staff are friendly and the line moves quickly.
