The ducks and large bird enclosure didn't have any shelter to protect these numerous birds from rain and EXTREMELY hot, Florida, weather during summer months. The other animal enclosures could have better shelter to protect against wind-driven rain and very hot, humid weather. These shelters in the enclosures are small. Also animals could have been provided some enrichment in their enclosures; otherwise, they can get bored easily. One of the large, white birds in the duck enclosure had an open wound on right side of its' face that appeared to be drying up. I noticed one, large, black bird had missing feathers on its' neck. The tortoise enclosure had two small ponds that appeared to have dirty water. The camel may have been shedding its' fur?? But all animals and birds looked well fed.

I absolutely love this place! My little ones love it too! It's sad to see all the bad reviews. These people rescue animals, so if you're looking for high class well bred animals go pay for an over priced ticket at the Tampa zoo. I'm sure if they raised the prices for a bigger staff and more up keep people would complain about that as well. The last time I took the family they had set up a stand with food buckets to feed the animals and you could go back and get as many buckets you want for free. Where else can you go and pet a zebra or shake hands with a monkey or a lemur?

Felt like a strange nightmare, but not in a bad way. We had been traveling for a long time prior to arriving. Weirdest, kookiest, creepy place that I've ever been. A lot of very kind and passionate about the place people working. Anything you read from other reviews is likey true. Very "old Florida." If you like weird, this place is for you! I found it very intriguing for multiple reasons.

This place was dirty and run down. The layout was confusing and right when you step in, you have no idea where to go or what to do. The owners said they were “so busy” but only saw a few people going in and out at a time. Very expensive to feed tortoises and monkeys bread. They have signs that say “automatic water” for the animals but you don’t see anything for them. Their pens were overgrown with weeds. Some of the animals weren’t even friendly. That’s because they’re in distress, and being fed food that’s not consistent to their diet. We got the all inclusive tickets which was a waste because we did not bother doing the run down indoor golf and dirty ice cream. Please do not waste your money coming here. Brandon was nice. That’s about it.

This place gives Silence of the Lambs/Hills Have Eyes vibes. It’s basically someone’s chaotic funky farm. This maze of stuffy tarp lined hallways lead to areas with bizarre collections, including dimly lit rooms full of dusty taxidermy, creepy animatronics, and “antiques?” are what makes this place “unique” (as other reviewers put it).The outside is another junkyard-esque maze full of distressed and thin animals. Their cages are poorly kept, adorned with defensive signs: “AUTOMATIC WATER” There was no water in sight. One of the birds is living in what appears to be a ratty forest enclosure with a pathway less than 1 foot wide lining its edges. We fed them sticky pellets, dried grass, and still thawing Nature’s Own Honey Wheat bread. We purchased all inclusive tickets for our family of 5. We did not get ice cream because after using the aromatic bathrooms where the toilets were literally hanging on by a bolt and rolls of toilet paper were strewn about, we did not feel we’d enjoy it. We did not do mini-golf because it was to dark in the tin topped fun house to see what we were doing. We left this place feeling uncomfortable and remorseful, confused and concerned; but, as other reviewers said, the staff was nice. Please don’t give this place your money.

I feel like I just came out of a fever dream. I'm not sure what this place is trying to be but everything was just so confusing. When you walk in, there's a bunch of just...idk, everything? Mickey was signing Merry Christmas? It's almost Feb. The Yoda animatronic was growling about something as his gears were squealing loudly, they had arcade stuff and fake fruit. Then you walk through and there's a dinosaur exhibit, there's animals you can feed and an aquarium as well. It seems like there's a lot of different things but the different things are just lacking. The aquarium has nothing noteworthy and most of the stuff was fake, the dino exhibit was bare bones, there was a mini golf thing too randomly in a dark room, I really just feel like I visited an insane person's mind come to life. Some of the enclosures for the animals looked like they weren't taken care of and all ate the same thing, which to me was odd. I don't think tortoises, birds, camels and monkeys have the same meal plans but what do I know I guess. This review may seem scattered but...that place was nuts. The men's bathroom was clogged and dirty and the women's restroom the toilet was holding on the wall barely. The whole placed smelled muggy and damp, it was just a mess. I will say, I gave it an additional star SOLEY on the staff, Brandon was very friendly and helpful but man. Idk where I just was. It's also a maze, I had no clue where I was going majority of the time and needed to ask frequently as, yes there's signs some places, but there's a lot of dead area where you can definitely turn the wrong way without realizing it. All in all, I think it's an....interesting place to maybe bring a child? For one visit just to say wow I've been to that insane spot but. Past that, was not worth it. I thought any second I was gonna enter the room where they butcher the tourists.

If you’re into quirky, weird, off the road side, one of a kind places you won’t se anywhere else, this is it. Everyone was so nice from the lady working to the register to Brandon out back with the animals we had a great experience. If you want the opposite of typical Florida tourism where no one is going to bother you and explore, this is it. My kids had an absolute blast. From the singing birds to the super unique mini golf. Prices are very fair and all inclusive versus getting nickle and dimed tp death for every little thing. They have an animal species I had never seen before. Highly recommend.

Nostalgia overload! There's literally something for everyone, be it the endless animals in their petting zoo, mini golf and there's something unique about the museum areas that really transport you back to eras past. If you're looking for cookie cutter amusement park activities, keep driving, because this experience is unlike anything else. Prepare to spend 4+ hours if you want to see everything.

We love visiting the animals but we would love to see signs of each animal name next to their enclosures. There are some peculiar animals that we have never seen before and would love to know more info about them either on a sign or plaque. Would also love to see all of the cobwebs taken down. Especially in the dark dinosaur room. All in all we do love coming but would love to see some of these suggestions put to good use!

I do have to say this is a small family place trying to take care of the whole place, so they were definitely trying their best. The inside was very run down, and there's not any real explanation to the inside museum part before you see the animals. The outside animals seemed well taken care of, and they gave us some vegetables, and bread to feed the animals. The "aquarium" were a bunch of sad, dirty tanks, with mostly goldfish.

This place was so cool! So many different animals to see and feed! And lots to see in the museum inside as well! Would absolutely recommend anyone who loves animals, likes ice cream shop 50’s style, aquarium, display of old style cars & so much more!! to visit this place! Definitely going back again & probably again! Lol

My little one LOVES going to feed her friends and visit the pirates cove. The animals are well kept and the owners are always making upgrades for them and to enhance your experience. We average at least 1 to 2 visits per month. The staff know my little one by name and they are VERY kind to her. Love the gift shop which is very reasonably priced with several trinkets for kids.

There's a reason attractions like this aren't around anymore and a reason the word unique appears in so many reviews. What is this place? Why are there creepy mannequins at odd spots, why does the entire store smell of damp, why are we feeding exotic creatures a homemade bag of cracker jack? Surely the nutritional needs of a Zebra are different to that of a giant tortoise? Apparently not.Look, for one visit only and if you have young kids, they'll probably be entertained for a couple of hours. For the adults, I left wondering how well look after the animals are and why so much of this place was so filthy? The amount of huge spiders in cobwebs in windows tells me, it isn't often cleaned. The staff are very nice, and the ice cream is a welcome treat - but outside of that? It's morally questionable looking at some of the animals on display, and the shop is filled with tat.

What a dump. If you like spiderwebs and spiders everywhere, emaciated animals, and a mixture of fish tanks with no water with fish tanks that have very few fish, then you'll love this place.
