For years, she was my anchor — helping me navigate life with PTSD with a confidence and freedom I hadn't known before. When I lost her three years ago, I lost a piece of myself along with her.
The years without a service dog were some of the hardest of my life. My depression became overwhelming, and the world outside my door felt increasingly out of reach. As my community has grown and changed over the years, my PTSD has grown more challenging as well, and there were many days I couldn't find the strength to step outside unless I absolutely had to.
But this organization never gave up on finding the right match for me — and last week, Jeanne did exactly that. I have a new dog, a new partner, and for the first time in a long time, I feel genuine hope.
This organization doesn't just train dogs. They change lives, and when those lives hit their darkest moments, they stay committed to finding the light again. I am living proof of that. I am beyond grateful.”
