We needed to do an amendment to our federal tax to add a capital gain in Utah. We needed them to do the Utah tax for us. I was told on phone when I called that it was not a problem at all. We get there and they tell us that they have to enter all our federal income tax information in order to do the amendment, however, they never informed us that they would charge us for the full tax return charge. We give them our federal information which takes all of two minutes to enter from our already filed federal return, figures match exactly. Because we did not want them to push the button and file the amendment they could not do the Utah state tax. We wanted the amended tax printed up so we could mail it. We did not want them to file electronically because we did not feel confident with the person doing the preparation. He was arrogant and very condescending. Was then told that because we did not submit electronically the amended tax that he could not do the Utah. We were charged $279. We feel they are very misleading and gravely overcharged for their services. I recommend you DO NOT USE this office. We probably should have called the manager when we were in the office. We plan on writing a letter to the management for service we did not need and services we did not receive. We would have entered -0- stars if we could.
