My mom & dad took our Boston Terrier “Ralph” for an exam sDr. Tracy was beyond excellent. Totally great with our dog very personable explained everything. We recently moved and my parents thought they would never find a veterinarian as good as the one they had been taking our pets to for close to 50 yrs (And yes they did) This woman is truly wonderful.

My cat got sick and was throwing up a lot so we called around for a place to take him. This place made room for him and were great. My cat poos when he travels, but they were very understanding and helped clean it up. If you are looking for a vet for an emergency or long term care there are a few good ones in this area and this is one of them.

Dr. Reifer at countryside animal Hospital is the best as far as I'm concerned. When I first came to Florida ten years ago I had a black pug named Buddy. Dr. Reifer took care of him until he was 13 years old and then had to put him to sleep. I thought my heart would break and Dr. Reifer looked like he was going to cry because he had gotten to know Buddy very well. A year or so later I Rescued another black pug and then six months later after that I went to the East Coast and rescued another one. I love them so much and proceeded to care for them carefully however do had been animal hospital in Tarpon Springs where is the firm designated to take care of them and always had. So I tried to stick with them but soon learned that their service does not compare to Dr. Reifer. They were so cool and impersonal and never could remember me or my dogs. Finally this week I called and With Dr. Reifer. Her name is Mollee and she had a bad ear infection and had never really been checked over thoroughly. But upon taking her to Dr. Reifer he talked to me and outlined everything she needed and took care of it. During the visit he told me several times that Mollee, Who is a black miniature pug who is absolutely adorable. He did everything she needed and she is feeling much better already. However, I have to make an appointment there for the other little guy, Solomon. Salmon is a regular size black Pug also with a deformed front foot from being abused and abandoned. We drove to the East Coast to get him, and I don't consider him lucky I consider us lucky for finding him. We love them so much. I made up my mind I'll always stick to Dr. Reifer at countryside animal Hospital.

Wonderful, caring staff. I've taken my pets here for years. Also there is a friendly orange tabby who is quite fluffy and big that comes to greet you.

For Years Dr. Anderson was very good with my dog.He got a ear infection and she never cleared it up so He had to have his Ear Canal removed. After his surgery I took him in for a cough and she took Xray's. She charged me $270.00 for 3 Xrays and $117.00 to have someone else read them. She treated him for Pneumonia which I found out later he didn't have and She never treated him for the cough. When I took him to another vet my baby received 2 shots for his cough and some more meds and the cough was gone instantly. I have found a new vet and will not go back to Dr. Anderson I need to have faith in who is caring for my baby and I no longer have that in her. My new vet can read Xrays and if they need a 2nd opinion there is not a extra cost.I feel I was ripped off for her not being about to read a Xray. MSS

These guys/gals know what they are doing with animals. My visits here are always quick and painless. All their equipment looks relatively new and works great. They treat the animals very well. But the furniture and seats there look like they haven't been changed in decades. Sitting on them I felt like I didn't know where the bench has been.

We have been taking our Pekinese dogs to Dr. Anderson for almost 12 years now. Dr. Anderson is amazing and has always given our Rosie and Roxie wonderful care. When Rosie was too sick to go on, Dr. Anderson and her staff stayed past closing time so that I could get there and help Rosie cross the bridge peacefully. Subsequently they held Rosie there so that my daughter could come the next day and say her goodbye.

I couldn't believe it, but I was talking to a friend I'd made recently, and he mentioned to me that a few years ago that their small dog developed pancreatititis, and they took him to an animal hospital on Curlew Road. I asked if it was called Countryside Animal Hospital, and he said yes, and that they had paid a lot of money for the care of dog, but that he had died of his pancreatitis. I was flabbergasted because the same thing happened to us, ( see review below) as a result of the lack of medical attention provided by the senior veterinarian, (yup, same vet). They didn't perform care prescribed by the E.R. Veterinariank or much of any care at all for a dog with a serious disease. No pain medication, no intravenous hydration, no hospitalization. Look at the reviews below, why use unreliable care possibilities? Oh, and when we got our little 8 year olds body back after demanding other options, although it was two days too late, not one of the Countryside staff said "I'm so sorry", or even bothered to call express sympathies.
