If the rental car you need isn’t critical to you having a successful trip, then rent from the ineptitude that is this place of business. But, if you need a responsible company in charge of your rental, and need to ensure that you have what you ordered on the day you stipulate you need it, then do not rent from this place.

Horrible!! Literally booked a rental and when I got here they were closed!!!!! My reservation was for 6pm and I got there at 5:50pm. They were already closed! This place is awful! I was left stranded with no car! Had to waist more money getting an Uber back home!! Never again will I rent here, and judging from everyone else's reviews, this place needs to close!!!

If I could give a review with 0 stars I would. I rent vehicles all the time from the other guys but AVIS has been the absolute worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I was very specific when I picked up the vehicle that there was unlimited, no charge for miles. I even confirmed it - twice - with the agent (Damien in Dallas) I picked it up from. They also told me if I paid for a full tank of gas, I would be credited back whatever was in the tank and they even gave me a brochure with fuel level markers on it to be marked off when I returned the vehicle. An agent (Ruben) here at this Dunedin office told me “They lied to you. Those agents lie all the time” (I was completely speechless when he said that) there needed to be a full tank or I would receive no credit for the half tank that remained. Then, he hit me for over $300 in mileage charges. Again, he said, they lied to me. I called customer service from this office and was told by that rep (Justin) he wouldn’t be able to help me and he would have to have a customer service supervisor call me back within 48 hours. That was 8 days ago. Still no call. DON’T USE AVIS. My experiences at the other companies has always been steller. We went with Avis because of the proximity of the pick up location. AWEFUL, NO HELP OR RESOLUTION FROM THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

This is a negative 10. Make a reservation weeks before. No car available. Avis why don't you care about your customers. You have many bad reviews and do nothing. Stay away people.

DO NOT RENT from them! Particularly this location. They will change up pricing and fees as they please without you expecting and will charge your card hundreds of dollars even after NOT renting from them months later. I had to report them as I just noticed a random charge from them of $413 a month and a half after not even renting from them anymore. Completely unacceptable and fraudulent. They have been reported. They’ve also taken an extra $363 on another one of my accounts claiming they were only going to take $60 out of that amount and the difference will be refunded back. NEVER happened! Again I had to report them. Do not allow your money to get stolen. I also must mention the worker here name Ricardo will literally scream and yell over the phone and argue for making unauthorized and random charges from my account. I don’t frequently write reviews, especially don’t like writing bad ones, but this is serious for others to know. Red flag. Please try another location!

Preferred customer with a prepaid reservation. NO car available. NO car at any nearby facilities. We had to scramble at the last moment to change our plans. Taking money for a product you cannot provide is STEALING!

This branch needs to close. Absolutely horrible service and full of incompetent staff who are also unprofessional, lazy, and liars. We made a reservation weeks ago, and the day of they told us they did not have a car available for us - a rental car that we needed in order to make an international flight on the other side of Florida. Manager sent us on a wild goose chase to TWO other facilities in Clearwater and Palm Harbor that are just as horrendous. Never have we had an experience like this before with a rental service, and this will be the last time we use Budget/Avis.Furthermore, on seeing the other reviews of this company, we know that we are not alone in this experience and this branch needs to shut down.Anyone reading these Google reviews, save yourself unnecessary stress and use another rental service in the Bay area. Budget/Avis in Dunedin, Clearwater, and Palm Harbor need a complete administrative overthrow and new management.

Always closes early, tried visiting couple of time on Feb 27, 28 timing says 6 pm but it’s closed much before 5 pm.

Made a reservation weeks in advance. Called the day before to confirm only to be told they did not have a vehicle available for me. Rental agent Henry informed me I was one of 5 reservations that would not be getting their cars. Henry informed me that the branch would not look around for cars at other branches and to just call customer service. Manager Sid did not offer any help whatsoever. Wound up having to get a car 40 mins away after hours on the phone trying to find one. This branch needs to close or find more competent staff.

My corporate office reserved me a car at the Dunedin Avis a week in advance. Arrived at the location this morning to pick up the car and was told that he had zero cars. Um….What???? Thank you Avis for nothing!!!!!
