“I recently had the chance to work with Help Us Gather (HUG), and I was really impressed at the amazing work they do for the community! HUG is an amazing organization that focuses on bringing people with disabilities together and making sure everyone feels included.

The team at HUG is fantastic. They really care about the people they serve and always go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and supported. HUG offers a lot of great events that are fun and inclusive for everyone and you can tell that a lot of thought goes into making sure all participants have a good time. It's wonderful to see how happy and confident people are when they get involved with HUG.

“The place is great! Just visited there recently this February and the food is of great quality! Delicious options, and some good service. They have many options for breakfast, and especially silverware to use with the food. There are drink flavors to choose from and definitely some restrooms there, a men's room and a women's restroom. This place is clean too! Don't worry about sloppy conditions as this place is always in good condition. I assure you you'll like it here!”

“Great location where I'm a member - daily food specials and they have a variety of bar games and fund raisers - the whole staff is really nice - best days to visit is Wednesday for wings and fridays for fish and shrimp”

“Very nice and sympathetic to my needs. My dog passed during the hurricane when everything was closed for days. I was called back immediately after hours and told to bring my baby in the next day as they were "opening up" even though they actually open to the public. I was able to bring in my dog for cremation and was met at the door by the wonderful Brianna. Thank you for your kindness...Rocco's Mom...??”

“Tampa Bay Neighborhood Housing Service was a true God sent service for my family and I. The service allowed me to reestablish stability in my mortgage and allowed me to get other household things in order. Covid was a hardship on a lot of families and the service that this agency provide should make no one ashamed to ask for help.”

“Yesterday I had the most amazing day of my life I've got to meet some of the most amazing people I represent Jesus my grandson was graduating from their life skills program I got to meet a lot of children that were there and their parents to watch so many people care about so many other people they huge giveaway yesterday to watch the people come up and be so excited for the stuff was free tell watch the expression on the people's faces so happy to just give and not expecting anything back it truly was the greatest day of my life since I've moved to Florida I would post the pictures that I took yesterday but without the permission of some of the parents and their children I don't feel right to himself but I can promise you the leaders that run this place there dedication to these children. To refuse to allow these children to become anything other than kings and queen that they deserve today was remarkable”

“I went to an informative seminar on Marijuana here yesterday. As a nurse, I want to know more about this, since it seems to be more prevalent in my community. The speaker showed results of studies done, especially with children /teens that was so frightening, And, interestingly enough, she informed us of the main source of funding for medical marijuana in Florida and who's spending millions to get the next step on the ballot. It's mostly only one entity! I've worked in Drug Rehab for 5 years and have seen the effects created by drugs on teens and adults. Marijuana is NOT free from harmful effects. I encourage everyone to inform yourself of the recent studies and the dangers of marijuana for us in rearing new generations and living happily as adults. This center can provide you this information.”

“If you get a chance to attend the Yoga in the Park at Coachman Park led by the Y In Motion instructors, please do so. I went to the Monday evening and the Saturday morning class while staying in the area. The instructors were excellent. These classes can be followed by all levels of ability. They play music in the background and some instructors use a microphone and some don't. It's outdoors on the grass so there may be wind and chilly temps from the waterfront and the grass may be wet. Bring your mat and a towel. It was winter when I went, so it got dark during the Monday evening class, but the green was lit up and the huge fire torch sculptures were lit. It is a gorgeous setting. I really enjoyed these classes and couldn't believe they were free and found plenty of free parking.”

“All I can say is that if it wasn't for Jeff, Joe, and Richard and the rest of the staff I probably would still be on the streets. With respect, patience and kindness and a lot of direction, support and a lot of simply caring. My life was a major disaster and full of disappointment. I have lost everything and this last summer I was bitten by a deadly poisonous snake, and almost lost my life. So I was starting over yet again with nothing and all three of these guys gave was a little encouragement and simple instructions and I have finally finally finally got my life back in order! I am not good at expressing my feelings in person so I was just tell the whole world right here. Thank you from the bottom my heart this goes out also to Dan Kate's Directions for Living, Andrew Snyder, VA case manager, Sarah Nichols, S.O.R.E.S. and the countless others. I am clean, I have a home, a place to call my own. My goal was to have my own place and cook my own tanks giving dinner for the first time in 15 years. I have been to hell and back lost everything including my family, lied too, robbed, hit by a car and lost my son in 2024 and then the snake bite but I am back stronger then ever smarter then ever and getting stronger everyday. Pinellas Hope saved my life! Thank you all so much!!!”

“I am one of the construction volunteers and I have to say that the professionalism of their construction crews - are SECOND TO NONE! I have worked/volunteered with them for almost 2 months now and although I live over 1 hour away, I always check their construction calendar every single day, and I sign up as soon as I see an opening.WHY? Because I see first-hand, every time I volunteer, how much they care about the houses they build! As a matter of fact, the first time I went I was told by more than 1 of their site supervisors that the house I am helping to build; is not for some unknown family, but it’s for my own family! Therefore, I should give it as much care as if it was mine!Although they have numerous site supervisors, I had the pleasure to work many times with, Mike, Mark, Joshua and Joe, in no particular order... True professionals who take the time to explain, show and help volunteers perform their assigned task in the safest way possible! Thanks to the above supervisors, I have learned how to do things that I never thought it was possible for me to do on my own.Mike, Mark, Joshua, Joe - you have succeeded in building my confidence level beyond my imagination!!! “Excellent early child care center , a staple of the community, many people have been through this place,given that this place has been open for over 30 years now , some teachers have been there for decades and know everyone around this community and sometimes even watch the parents bring their children there and they have been through this center when they were kids, They have a new director now and the place is more cheerful and bright than ever before … totally recommend it!”

“I was there for the annual fund raising breakfast and garage sales. The breakfast was served in the clubhouse for $5 and then the individual homes had garages sales. The breakfast was wonderful and everyone was very nice. It looks like a beautiful place to live.”
