Went in at 11:20am and had a bad experience , we received a defective item and came in 2 minutes later of purchase to exchange it for a new one. The one eating chips was very rude, if there is a policy I have no issue talking to the manager to get more details and clarification, but the way this associate addresses the issue was unacceptable. I asked for her name and she refused to provide it so I could talk to the manager about my experience with this associate. Thought The company's core values include focus on customer satisfaction. This associate definitely needs more training on the high five customer service and a better understanding of what five below stands for and there focus on wowing factors. I love going to five below for all my needs but definitely will be going to another locations with better customer service and core values.

Nice place, different items. Great place to start christmas shopping. Stocking stuffers galore.
Not much help on the floor though...
Front cashier was pleasant enough.

I’m honestly not sure what’s going on at this Five Below. There are multiple self-checkouts, yet only one was open, and it somehow required a full-time attendant. The associate was in no rush, casually chatting with another customer while the rest of us stood there wondering if we had wandered into a social hour instead of a store.
When it was finally my turn, the “self” in self-checkout disappeared completely. The employee rang up my items for me, stood inches away the entire time, and even took my card to insert it, as if scanning a barcode or using a chip reader were advanced technology.
The entire experience was unnecessarily awkward and inefficient.

A place full of toys, books, holiday decor, and stuff I never knew I wanted or needed, some items are above $5 and some are below $5. You can count on great $1 greeting cards. I found several toys and books for a local toy drive and was pleased with my purchases. Staff was busy helping customers with what seemed to be party planning and I was happy to shop without interference.
Accessiblity:
Wide entry/exit doors are medium weight
Wheelchair accessible parking spaces in shared parking lot and wide curb cuts in front of store.
Aisles are mostly wide enough for access with some more narrow spaces with holiday decor.
Great experience for bargains in low key environment.

Fun to visit with lots of cute things. Unfortunately, it is like a black hole of nostalgic items for some and a money pit of unnecessary things for others. Otherwise, four stars for being clean and bright.

The girl at the cashier was SUPER FRIENDLY, sweet, nice and polite.
It was a pleasure being greeted by her.

6:00 pm 7/27/25 staff was rude, snarky , and over all bad attitude towards costumers as if they were not employees being paid. Were rude to everyone who looked like they were gonna make them do their job, including a mother and her children shopping. God forbid they asked for help because they were just snapped at with attitude, very poor customer service. Maybe they just don’t enjoy doing the minimum, their job.

If I could zero stars I absolutely would. I don’t shop at five below very much anymore & I definitely won’t again after this interaction with two employees at the front. My daughter & I walk up to what looks like a self check out. We had two items. By the time Karen (her actual name, the other associate wouldn’t give me her name. Short, curly black hair, lots of make up) came up to us & demanded to scan my items but they were done. She got very agitated & sighed very loudly while rolling her eyes because “it’s her job”. I said her actual job is customer service & sighing & rolling your eyes at the customer is not very friendly. I asked her to back away from me which she stated she can’t because “it’s against policy”. The other young woman also claimed it was policy. So being rude & harassing a paying customer is policy? On my receipt it doesn’t have an associate referenced to my register. If the policy is to have the associate scan the items then they should make that more clear upon arrival. When I approached the check out line there was no one in sight. I’m sure they get this a lot & that’s why she was frustrated but again, not my fault. Take it up with corporate. All in all, absolutely won’t be buying cheap garbage from five below especially when the associates make it even more miserable to be in there.

I went in to grab a pick up order and ended up finding a lot more than I expected! The manager on duty was extremely helpful and found an item I had ordered that they thought they were out of stock of. I appreciated his help and everyone working was extreemly nice.
