An employee talked us into getting our rug delivered to us instead of buying it in store by promising us free shipping and delivery. When we looked at the receipt we actually paid $35 for shipping. The employee had assured us that she had changed the shipping to be free. I do not appreciate being lied to. I would have simply made the purchase in store instead of having it delivered if I would have known that shipping was that much.
Not only did she lie about comping us shipping, she also gave my personal information away to an HVAC contractor, REDCAP PLUMBING AND AIR, after I asked her not to. She asked if we were interested in getting our HVAC serviced and I told her there was no need because we are renters, not homeowners. Despite this, I got an email saying that the employee scheduled a service request with Redcap. I never consented to scheduling a service request nor did I consent to having my first and last name, phone number, and street address sent to the contractor.
I noticed there was a sign on the employee's workstation that Home Depot was having a contest - the employee that signs up the most customers for a service request with a contractor won a $25 gift card. Obviously the employee was attempting to win this contest by signing up customers even if it meant giving away personal information against the customer's wishes.
The employee that was "helping" us mentioned that she had been written up for leaving the aisles filthy when she was closing, which we found a strange thing and unprofessional thing to mention. Not shocking that this employee had been written up before though. The employee wouldn't stop chatting and took forever to order the rug (and signing us up for unwanted services) which extended our visit about a half hour.
We also noticed that many of the aisles were blocked and hard to browse at due to the amount of ladders, boxes, etc. laying around - the Largo store is much cleaner and has a better selection anyway.
I'm planning on shopping at Lowes going forward.

Disappointing. Ordered good online for the ease and have had several issues but the most recent takes the cake. Package arrived empty. Contacted customer service and they refuse to replace saying they need to cancel that order and I need to go through the ordering process. Last time I made a return it took 6 months for the refund to show up in our account when I was told it would take 5-10 business days. Insane. Home Depot used to be great quality and service.

It’s better to buy materials at Lowes, Home Depot has problems with cars and queues

Unprofessional and not helpful. We forgot a baby item and the store manager did not follow up to try find it. They refused to open cameras and did not apologize or offer us a refund as we are loyal customers. Is not nice to steal a baby item. I am pretty sure where I left it and probably an employee stole it because there weren’t many people around. You should know who you hire be careful manager. And you don’t have customer service skills. My baby really likes that item and we couldn’t care less for the money. But not nice at all! If possible we won’t purchase from this store.

The usual, no real store Complaints staff was helpful & friendly. The only problem I have is with the owner and who he supports

Supervisor Pam. Willing to direct customers to serve themselves. Not willing to serve customers when needed. Having a bad day or not, your lack of work ethic is duly noted. As a supervisor you are a leader. You have an opportunity to represent Home Depot. You have an opportunity to help people and show people you want their business. Pam, you failed today. Hopefully you will do better next time

We've spent thoussnds here on home projects over the years, but employees are not nearly as helpful or knowledgeable as they were 20 years ago. Consequently, I've had to return a kitchen sink drain bc the guy gave me the wrong product, and 4 toilet seats bc nobody could help me with the color wood grain I needed. Instead, they told me to contact the mfr online (altho I'd bought the original Kohler toilet from HD & provided them the model's color). Then they wanted me to check myself out. Not as fun or promising as it used to be, so I tend to shop online more & more.

Do not buy appliances there as delivery is a nightmare! We gave specific instructions on what phone number to use and the driver still called the wrong number. Delivery was scheduled between 10:30-2 and they showed up 1.5 early! The driver came to our house and called the wrong number but did not knock or ring the bell so delivery was marked as undeliverable and re-scheduled for an additional 4 days out. I called the store manager who said they had no way to contact the warehouse/dispatch for redelivery as there's a new system in place and the warehouse hasn't answered their phones in over 3 weeks so nothing could be done. The manager said they alerted corporate to the issue with the new system but nothing has changed and in the meantime they're getting tons of complaints. If you want reliable delivery of your appliances go somewhere else. We had an issue with their delivery service on our cabinets too as they showed up early, left them on the driveway and forged our signature. Unacceptable!

Why does the cleaning lady go clean bathroom at 8am in the morning. Does she do it in purpose. Right when People get there she cleans so my son soiled him self because he couldn't go to bathroom.

I recently made a large purchase of storage bins from Home Depot, expecting a straightforward experience, but I ended up very disappointed. When my order arrived, a number of bins were broken or missing lids. I contacted customer service, but I had to go through four different representatives before reaching anyone who could offer a solution. Each representative seemed either unable or unwilling to help, which only added to my frustration.
Finally, I spoke with the store manager, who, while able to provide a partial refund, was not particularly friendly and hung up before answering the rest of my questions. This experience was very frustrating, and I expected better customer service and accountability. I’ll definitely be more cautious about placing large orders here in the future.

**Review for Home Depot Clearwater: ⭐⭐**
I recently visited the Home Depot in Clearwater and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I was looking for assistance in the lawn and garden section, particularly with grills, but it was quite difficult to find someone to help me. When I finally did get someone’s attention, they were eager to sell me a display grill that was a bit tattered.
They mentioned they could pull a new one from the box, but the staff seemed bothered by the request, so I decided to take the display instead. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed it had some loose parts, which made me uneasy about completing the purchase. In the end, I walked away and decided to check out a different store in the area. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future!
