These people provide homeless people a chance to have a place to stay, learn, and recover. They even allow use of their location for a mailing address, often used by those staying there. Sometimes they are full as the last time I tried to check in they had no available spots open, regardless they are a kind and friendly bunch and many people there know each other. If no spots are available they provide you with contact numbers of a few other shelters and they even allow you to call from there or charge your phone in the lobby.

A wonderful place to go if you are having housing insecurity issues. Help before you get homeless, help finding work, on-site dental clinic, and so much more. If you are willing to put in the time and effort, they have it all.

I stayed here for about three weeks. The VA helped me get a place when I needed help. HEP provides just about everything one needs. The job/employment center is a weakness but they do have online access to search for work. No, HEP is not perfect, but if you need help, it's available. Like anything in life YOU have to take the initiative. Some of the reviews with one star and complaints about helping Veterans are written by the ones who expect to be given everything in life for free. I encountered some of these kinds of Veterans while at HEP. They're disingenuous, whiny, lazy, and annoy the hell out of everyone with constant complaining. They're the same ones who, while in service, were always infirmed one way or another.HEP is a great port when your life is in a bad place. The rooms are usually more than a couple people, the beds aren't comfy, but that's better than living at a bus stop or in the woods. The food is usually pretty good and they serve three meals a day.The Veterans center has a large TV, comfy living room furniture, A/C, a small gym, a few computers, an ice machine, a laundry room, some board games, Wi-Fi, occasional snacks, and bingo most nights before closing time. The staff at HEP is helpful and friendly, and have the resources you may need to get yourself the help you need.

Government funded human experiment. Truly suspicious where all the money is coming from for people that work here, they drive luxury cars and carryexpensive handbags?? Cameras everywhere, being monitored too. This place needs to be investigated, something seriously wrong here. What a joke seeing all these fake comments about how they treat veterans. I guarantee most of the positive comments are from the people funding this disgusting place. They treated this veteran like a piece of garbage and I never should have been there in the first place. This is all by design.

I stayed at HEP when homeless and going through a tough time in my life, several years ago. They helped me with getting important documents, State ID, Birth Certificate, etc... I got a job and they helped me into an apartment which I kept for 4 years until Covid hit and I returned to my home town. HEP helped me get back on my feet. I love HEP, loved Gloria, my counselor, and the entire staff. And the food, meals, were phenomenal! It's a wonderful, loving place for those in need. I will forever be grateful for HEP! ❤️

You will find no homeless shelter/program to equal HEP. The care is there. It shows in the respectful, caring, professional attitudes of the entire staff; in the clean and well kept rooms, apartments and facilities; and in the full array of options for the complete recovery of the client in every way. Send your loved one here.
