“LOVE this place! Super cute dock area in the back where you can relax in the chairs they have there, well-maintained pool outside, and it's nice and quiet. It's close enough that you can walk to the shopping area nearby, but far enough away that it is peaceful. I stayed here with my family (husband and adult children) and would definitely stay here again. Frienly hosts and clean rooms!”
“All I can say is WoW... I am not a person who is easily impressed. But this location is phenomenal. Right on the Clearwater Beach. Beautiful views from almost every room. The cleanliness is unparallel. Take it from someone who has cleaning OCD. Everywhere I looked someone was cleaning something. The guardrails by the pool the lobby the elevators. They also have valet parking. The restaurants and amenities at this location are so worth the stay. The gym is beautiful with a view to the ocean which helps a workout be more enjoyable. The entire staff were so nice and accommodating. Everyone greets you and ask if you need anything.
The pool and and hot tub areas were so clean and This is one of the first hotels that when they say they have a heated pool you actually feel it. The hot tub was beyond hot amazing and relaxing. The fact that they are open until 3:00 a.m. is a huge plus. The rooms also include two lounge chairs and an umbrella at the beach which is right across the street. So no need to get up too early or fight anyone for a spot.
The location is also right next to Pier 60. It's great for fishing shopping there's a couple of rides and activities. I definitely enjoyed shopping local and handmade gifts.
If I could get this resort more than five stars I would. What a great vacation. I can't wait to come back.”

We have decided this is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed. The staff is super nice and friendly. We would like to give a special thanks to Kathy for making the breakfast experience extra special. Everything was so clean and arranged well ,she is so friendly and sweet it made our day to get to talk to her each day. Gift shop personal is also very friendly. We loved the beautiful pools. The Infinity pool is awesome. Have already made plans to come back,”

“Great little mom&pop, psta bus stop right outside the office. Within 5 minutes walking to downtown. 5 minute trolley ride to the beach.
Showers are phenomenal. Pool is nice.
And they allow early (12:30) check in for $25, & late checkout for the same.
Will definitely stay here again”

The woman at the front desk was very nice when we checked in and the room was big with a big bathroom, a kitchen and a super comfortable bed. If we visit the area again, we will definitely be staying here. Rooms were clean, place was quiet and there are some pretty nice food options in the area.”

“I had surgery booked, so took an accessible room. It was beautiful, clean, all in good order...we left it the same. It was quiet, except for barking dogs down the hall. We cooked dinner and left the kitchen sparkling. I knew about the large damage deposit, so when checking in, asked if they could send someone to look over the room and declare it in good order before we left and turned in the key. They said they could and they did. And I got my deposit refunded. Thank you Sonesta. I'd stay there again, but off season, as tourist season rates are double off season.”

“I have been coming to this location for many years and if it was good before it’s even better now. You need to be mindful that this is NOT A HILTON OR ANY OTHER $200+ a night spot. The rooms aren’t 💯 brand new or the carpet wasn’t just placed yesterday HOWEVER, for the $$$ you pay I BELIEVE YOU GET IN RETURN A VERY DECENT, COMFORTABLE, SAFE, & RELIABLE place to spend your nights. Also before they use to have a very simple standard breakfast, however this time around I found very good quality breakfast to be getting it as part of what you pay for your stay. They have a variety of options from Jimmy’s Croissant w/ sausage, egg, and cheese, to multiple types of cereals, breads, snacks, and even fruits. Btw the pool was working just fine and my children had a blast in it.
Also is in a very good location, as you have gas stations, fast food/restaurants, stores, banks, beach all within a 2-20 min range.
Btw if you like Tacos you should try TALKING TACOS 2 mins away across from Race Track.
I stayed in a Studio for 4 days/3 nights, 1 adult and 4 children and I payed $272.”

“The Staff is amazing! Everyone was helpful and friendly. Unfortunately our room was on the 4th floor facing the air conditioning so we didn’t get the view we thought we paid for. So make sure you check that before you book the room…. Our room was clean though. It was very small compared to other resorts we have stayed at in Clearwater. Beds were comfortable. The tv signal cut out every day so we ended up watching Netflix. They only had like 12 channels or something like that so that was weird. The room had coffee and fridge, but no microwave. They will bring you one if you ask for it.The pool is awesome! It’s heated and perfect for the chilly days and nights. I kept hearing other people complain about there not being a hot tub. I kind of agree. They have the bags game, pool table, ping pong table, and lawn chess. The location of this hotel is amazing! Surrounded by shops and restaurants. The bartender made delicious drinks. The live music sounded great. When it rained they brought the music inside. It is perfectly located on the beach and next to pier. Over all would I stay here again???? I don’t know to be honest. Maybe if we had a higher floor or oceanfront/side room instead of ocean view of the AC. That really set the mood for my trip and I was almost in tears ??♀️.”

“Chase and Cassie were amazing. We came from WI and the Hurricane had hit on our last day of vacation. Cassie upgraded us right away to a king the first day we checked in. Always got fresh warm towels and a clean room when we were out site seeing. If you want a cheap and kind staff defiantly recommend this location.”

“We were lucky enough to spend a wonderful weekend at the Opal Sol Resort with many of our friends and family for a birthday weekend celebration. Each person commented that this was one of the nicest hotels they had been to. Everything from the decor, the food, the spa, the staff and of course the location was fantastic. We will definitely go back!”
