Arlete DaSilva, wow! Let me just say a very judgmental person. Lied and I can't imagine what she noted on the account. Just a walk-through of the appointment. A few tax documents came in late, leaving it so taxes had to be redone. Set up the appointment online and meet with Ms. DaSilva. During the appointment which I set aside my time for, she continued to answer the phones, being rude to other customers; took her medication during the appointment which is fine I grew up in a very understanding household, just how it was handled. She refused to add a dependent and said could not be head of household because according to her, didn't make enough money. Her words exactly " if you use a food pantry or get government assistance, you cannot be head of household". She was accusatory in her tone. I don't know about you but everyone I know is getting some type of help as of recently and this was an incredibly inaccurate statement. The result of her"updating"the taxes left hundreds owed, and I would have to mail in. How does someone not make enough money but also owes taxes. She also asked very personal questions regarding my health insurance. Why I needed low-cost insurance etc. I ended up going to another h&r block which processed the paperwork just fine and lo and behold they could do it electronically. Oh, and the coolest thing is, No money owed, there was a small refund. That tells me she not only did the taxes wrong. She was judgmental and of course very rude. I wonder how many other people she has done this to. I'm writing the CEO personally to share this experience, and after that contacting the better Business bureau because struggling families do not need to be judged. There's a reason there's the tax credit, and everyone regardless of race color, religion or income should get it. So again, stay away from at least this particular h&r block and I'll update if I hear anything back from the CEO or BBB.

I need to state I did not get any services done here but I went in with my friend and the office reaks of Mildew it's so bad and after leaving I was coughing. Untill they get this issue fixed I would recommend a diffrent location. It smelled like the whole office had flooded and never been deodorized. Nothing but good things to say about H&R Block, way better then dang Turbotax. I actually got money back this year for once how bout dat. Compared to Turbotax I somehow owed the feds $1,200 last year. Arlete is a lovely lady an she'll help you get your taxes done right.
