Do not bring your children’s clothes here to sell. They are beyond cheap as hell I brought brand new outfits with tags still on it. A full bag of clothes. One outfit cost $70 alone from Nike and they gave me a total of $34 all together. They are a rip off I will be selling anymore of my babies clothes here I’m better off giving it away for free.

Spend $235 and can only get 1 bag for free and have to carry everything else out. It’s not like the bags were a quarter they are $2.15. I mean they are making money on the bags I can buy them for .35 each with the logo on them. Found stuff with tj max tags for $9.95 and they are charging more $12 for them. Like what? Smh

Once Upon a Child is a great place for kids’ clothes and books , prices are fair and the selection is usually good.
For toys, though, I’ve noticed the prices have gone way up. Branded items are often priced almost the same as new, which takes away from the value that used to make the store special. The same goes for shoes , for example, used Nike sneakers for $25 doesn’t make much sense when you can add just a few dollars and buy them new.
I understand inflation and operating costs, but I hope the store doesn’t lose sight of its original purpose: giving families affordable access to gently used items. That core idea is what made Once Upon a Child stand out.

When they first opened up, things were great and they were very fair on what you sold to them. Since they moved, let’s just say things went down hill.
Parking- it is horrible and very limited.
Selling- they take just a couple items out of a huge bin full of new and slightly used clothes.
When checking in, it will give you a time frame… that time is incorrect. 35 mins. Turned into over an hour of waiting.
People struggle to open the front door to bring items in. While waiting I was looking around and so many of the clothes had stains, fading and other issues.

Don't waist your time going to sell your stuff.. they don't even take new stuff that hasn't been used and they pay you really cheap

This store stresses me out so much. I hate it. Go to Stellie Bellies instead. It's worth the drive.
- Disorganized: The clothing is fairly well organized but there is a lot of disorganization in general. Shoes have no sorting, just tossed in bins supposedly by size, but even the bins aren't organized in an order that makes sense. The toys are chaos. Lots of missing pieces.
- Space: There isn't much space for me to take a stroller through with my baby.
-The prices are random. Why are some USED toddler shoes $15 and others $4? The toddler drum toy without a stick was $3 and the one with ONE stick was $6. The stick is worth as much as the drum??? They do have good sales sometimes.
- Unprofessional: the employees aren't moms. They look at you like you're weird for asking questions or for being slightly frazzled. They don't know the answers to most things. And they are NOT FRIENDLY. Not once did anyone ask me if I needed help finding something.
- resell: they wanted to give me $1.95 to buy a Bingo costume. Less than $2 for a costume from the most popular kids show right now. These sell for $40 new. I got it for $22 used and didn't end up using it (got wrong size, couldn't return.)
I try to avoid this place unless I can go on a sale day without the kids.

Went today for the first time I did like that you can drop your stuff off and then go back when they text you instead of waiting around for 2 hours (was there wait time today) but I had a brand new bassinet that they offered me $16 for, I chuckled and said no thanks... I declined because I would rather give it to someone for free who actually needs it then have them put it in there store and sell to someone for way more money they what they offered me. They had 1 high chair for sale that was not in the greatest shape for $70… they just want to profit as much money as they can and low blow you. I will not be back sadly. Wish I had a better experience.

Clearance section clothes and books are very reasonably priced. The disorganized toys and dirty strollers are too expensive for what they are.

Three weeks ago my family and I were devastated by the hurricane. Today I took in three small boxes and one tote bag to try and exchange my children’s outgrown clothing to replace toys that they have lost with the money received. The managers Sarah and Henna refused to make an exception to their “two bag policy” to take my items. I cried and pleaded with them, as we have lost all containers and only had smaller boxes - I even asked if I could borrow one of theirs to fit all of my items into one container. They refused despite the circumstances. As a previously loyal customer, I’m shocked at this treatment and that they won’t make simple exceptions even in this state of trauma and crisis our state is in. They could have simply taken my four small containers and made a customer incredibly thankful, instead they had me leaving in tears.
Editing to add that I took my items to OUAC north Tampa and not only did they make an exception to take all of my items, but they also took my items after their trade in hours were closed for the day. I spent $63 in store AFTER my trade ins. Customer service goes a long way!

Always find something useful here. Ladies behind the counter don't have all the answers, but are friendly and helpful nonetheless. It is good to know that items sold here are being checked via online search if they have all the parts. I will never pay full price for anything, if I can help it. The littles grow so fast that most clothes and toys definitely have plenty of life left in them to be "handed down" at a fraction of the price when purchased new. I recommend shopping here. Prefer this location over the one in Largo any day.

I brought some boy school short in a good shape today. They offered $1 per each, but they sell them for $5.50 each one after.
Have been several times in this store, and never got a good deal.
I took a toddler Birkenstock sandals new with tag and box, got offer $3. Really?
This place is not worth it.
