This is the final response after several email for damaged items
Dear Mark,
Thank you for your email confirming the settlement for the desk claim and the details of the upcoming check. I can confirm that the mailing address for the check is indeed ??????
While I appreciate the prompt processing of this claim, I must express my significant disappointment regarding the $50 deductible and the company's policy that excludes coverage for items packed by the customer, specifically in the context of the damage to the bowls. These items were meticulously prepared for transit; each bowl was individually bubble-wrapped and then securely placed within plastic totes. Furthermore, one of your team members, during the initial move, even commented positively on the thoroughness of the packing, noting how well everything was secured. This diligent approach was applied to all breakable items, which were carefully placed in smaller, distinctly marked plastic totes with additional bubble sleeves and bubble wrap.
It is particularly disheartening given the broader context of other issues we encountered, such as the damage to the dresser and the incorrect assembly of the bed. The technician who subsequently visited to address these matters also had the opportunity to observe the original packing condition of the items, including the bowls in their clearly labeled totes.
Nevertheless, I understand that contracts define the terms of our agreement, and I will accept the $353.09 settlement as offered.

These guys are awesome! The owner is a real gentleman, he helped me move some very heavy furniture and went out of his way to help me. He didn't have to but he was very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is moving, great service!

I used Rock Moving Company in July to move my belongings, and while the moving team was friendly and arrived on time, I am very disappointed with how they handled a missing item.
After the move, I realized that one of the chairs from my patio set was missing. The company never mentioned anything about it being lost until I brought it up. Their response? They told me to *call the police*. I found this reaction completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
Despite explaining that my patio set was not sold in separate pieces and that the missing chair made the entire set incomplete, they refused to compensate me fairly. Instead, they sent me a $50 check for just one chair — an amount that does not reflect the value of the full set or the inconvenience caused.
While the moving team itself did a good job during the move, the company’s lack of responsibility and unwillingness to properly resolve the issue has left a bad impression. I cannot recommend Rock Moving Company based on this experience.

This company was recommended by my realtor Aaron Hoffman. They were easy to book, had the best prices I could find, and were very timely with my move. I ended up paying less than they quoted me. I would highly recommend them.

It’s been two months since my move from Florida to California, and I’ve gone back and forth on whether to write this. But every week I find more damage to my furniture, and I feel it’s only right to share this so others can make an informed decision.
I understand that moving cross-country (especially using a UPAC storage unit) comes with risks. Small scratches, dents, and wear are part of the territory. This was far beyond that. What happened here was clear mishandling, a disregard for explicit instructions, and packing practices no professional mover should find acceptable.
Before the move:
I had valuable furniture, much of it heavy and fragile, including polished lacquered wood that scratches easily. I bought over 100 quality moving blankets, more than enough to wrap every item. I gave clear, repeated instructions to the three movers when they arrived about how each piece should be handled, wrapped, and secured. One mover even reassured me I was “in good hands,” saying he’d been doing this for years and was about to retire.
On Move Day:
They arrived on time, were polite, and handled heavy items down flights of stairs without complaint. However, a third of the blankets went unused, while multiple pieces went into the truck unprotected. I asked that legs be removed from tall or heavy items to prevent breakage — a request they ignored. I also walked in to see them dragging my crib across my herringbone wood floors, scratching them. I pointed it out, he apologized, then continued without putting down padding.
They also left several fully packed boxes in my garage — boxes they had carried downstairs and set near the trailer — then forgot to load them. I spent hundreds of dollars shipping them separately. When I called the office, I was told it was my responsibility to do a final walkthrough (which, to be fair, I should have done).
When the Unit Arrived in California:
The unloading crew was shocked. Tall armoires and other large items had not been strapped down, so they fell over in transit, breaking legs and chipping wood. Several pieces that should have been wrapped weren’t at all. A $30,0000 leather sectional sofa had holes in the leather. The lacquered wood pieces I was most concerned about were moved and loaded without protection, leaving deep scratches, busted corners, and permanent damage.
Items were stacked without thought to stability or weight, with heavy furniture placed on top of lighter, fragile pieces. There was no logical system and no attention to basic moving practices.
The Result:
Multiple pieces are now heavily scratched, chipped, or broken beyond simple repair. My floors are permanently marked. I paid out-of-pocket to ship forgotten boxes. The very items I gave the most detailed instructions for ended up the most damaged.
While the movers were polite, on time, and physically capable, those positives are far outweighed by the negligence, lack of care, and disregard for instructions. This was not “moving happens”… this was preventable damage from careless, unprofessional work.
I don’t enjoy writing reviews like this, but I feel obligated to warn others. I would never use this company again. If you value your belongings, especially expensive, delicate, or sentimental items, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. The damage I’ve experienced was entirely avoidable, and I hope sharing my experience prevents someone else from going through the same.

A professional and efficient team of movers arrived right on time and immediately got to work. I live on the third floor with no elevator, but they handled the job with ease and made it look effortless. At the drop off location, they wasted no time unloading the truck and even offered additional help after everything was moved in. I highly recommend this company and will definitely be using their services again in the future.

Amazing service! The guys were awesome! super quick, friendly, and they are really careful with all my stuff. I’m so glad we found them. Wayne, Isiah, and Gage are a fantastic team and I could not be happier with Rock's for sending them. They were friendly, professional, and efficient. No time was wasted and they were careful with all of my furniture, even my exceedingly heavy desk!
