Wish I had seen the reviews before moving. My move was mishandled so badly. It cost me 50% more than the estimate. So much was broken it was beyond belief. The guys from Sunbelt that showed up discouraged me from checking off the inventory and were in such a hurry to dump everything in my garage, as they had delivered a day too early and I didn't have access to the house. I personally saw them drop one box. Yet when I got to unpack the boxes and start to take them inside the house there were at least 3 boxes where just about everything was smashed. Even though items were wrapped in bubble wrap and secure. I can only imagine the height from which these boxes must have been dropped to do so much damage. Forget about the insurance. They refuse to cover the damage saying that I packed the boxes. Problem is, when I contracted with them they said the boxes packed by me would be covered. Lies. Inept. Terrible communication. Deceitful practices.... The originator of the move Bekins Pro Relo in Albuquerque was just as bad if not worse. Stay away from Bekins at all cost. Even corporate won't help.

I guess I should have searched a bit longer for a reputable company. Do not and I repeat do not use this company. Everything you are reading about quote difference and damaged furniture is true and worse. The crew that came to deliver our belongings was the most unprofessional group I could have gotten, these guys flat out sucked, the complained that the boxes were too heavy and that th4ey had to take them up the stairs. They purposely broke some furniture just so they did not have to carry it up the stairs. They destroyed our bedroom set and when I say destroyed its in pieces they broke all the glasses that they packed and to finish it off they stole 5 boxes and a latter. I mean they have not even make an attempt at finding them. Almost six weeks later and they have not even looked at our claim, saying this is the busy season and they have too much work. I guess now I have to hire a lawyer just to get something done. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGREAT IT JUST LIKE MANY OF US HAVE.

Criminal outfit that should be shut down immediately. Can’t pack, load, drive, or tell the truth. Stole stuff. Too bad a negative # can’t be given on rating. Did 20K+ damage, pd for “full replacement coverage” got nothing after 6 mos, hrs of my time filing and tracking claim. THEY FAILED TO TAKE INVENTORY which is in large part the reason most of our claim was denied. Run the other way. And that goes for Bekins too, their name was on all the boxes, trucks, etc. Fraud from top to bottom.

We had a short local move with 3 weeks storage at Bekins/Sunbelt in between. Over $5000.00 worth of our property was broken beyond repair, lost or stolen. On the move from their storage to our new home, their crew consisted of two men on their first day of employment and the third was in his first week on the job, They were our highest quote, but they assured us they were careful professionals and all would be great. For that reason we opted out of taking the insurance. The move was a disaster and their final offer of settlement (no one ever came out to look at the damage) was $222.00. The owner, Greg Dolphin Sr. and General Manager, Greg Dolphin Jr. cowardly hid behind their desks and never returned calls. Entrust your belongings to someone else or be sorry!

Horrible experience. Lots of broken and damaged stuff. Even items we paid them to pack. They even stole one of our aTVs we paid them to pack and in the end based on their valuation process and a $500 deductible we got $80 bucks and paid $500 to replace the TV., not including the other damaged items. Run away from this company. We even paid for additional coverage, but that didn’t help because it is NOT insurance it is valuation process.

Sunbelt/Bekin moved us into our new home December 2021. There was several items that were damaged. Contacted them. Was referred to their insurance part of the company for reimbursement. Was told to submit the claim within 30 days and we did. That was January 2022. Contacted Thomas Deneen several times thereafter. We are now in March 2022 and have not been reimbursed.

Horrible company. They steal your stuff and then use their valuation process to pay you nothing. Lots of broken and damaged items, even things they were paid to pack.

You may think if you are get a Full Value Policy to cover loss or damage but all you are paying for is declaration of the carrier's liability. There is NO Insurance Policy. If you have a claim it is sent to a separate company to evaluate. We have now been waiting for that company to review our claim for over 4 months. The evaluation only establishes the carrier's liability, but still no guarantee of payment by the carrier. Don't think you have insurance coverage when you move. Very misleading!One guy came the day before to pack our breakables. He left at 3 with unfinished packing.We were promised 3 or 4 men to load the truck between 8 and 9. One guy with the truck arrived at 12:20. 3 more guys arrived at 2:30. We were again promised 3 or 4 men to unload the truck. Only 2 showed up.The guy who took off the large glass doors on our Curio cabinet did not know how to take them off. He first unscrewed the adjustment hinges. When the glass was placed back on the cabinet the glass doors no longer close properly. The 2 guys who unpacked tried for about 15 minutes to make the adjustments but couldn't. They said they have someone who works the area who will come by to make the adjustments.When we called to find out when someone would come by to make the repair the response we got was "we don't know anything about that issue". We have now called 3 times and written an email explaining the problem. NO ONE HAS CALLED US BACK!

unbelt/Bekins Moving non-recommendation. BEKINs SUNBELT does not guarantee their quotes/estimates, even though their sales flyer said the estimates are guaranteed. After they picked up my shipment, was told the bill was now 25% more. The extra charge was condescendingly explained by Junior Greg that my shipment was the "other" kind of shipment and that there are two other types of mystery quotes that are, in fact, guaranteed. I feel this was bait and switch technique, so buyer beware. If you do ask for a quote, have them explain the different types of quotes so you're not surprised and they threaten to not deliver your goods that are an hour from delivery, if you want to dispute the charges. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy!It all started with a quote that was acceptable, by the time it was all said and done, it went up 70%. Many pieces of furniture were damaged, boxes were crushed and all items were broken. An antique one piece lamp was broken into three pieces. I guess my first cue should have been when I saw them forcing stuff into the truck that there was no room for and forcing the doors closed. Do your self a favor and find a different company.
