Am moving across the state, so I researched trucks online but had a lot of questions. I went to the location and Richard S hooked me up with a truck reservation, dolly, moving pads, and insurance. I get the truck for 48 hours for about $225, which is less than the cost of replacing just my dining room table. I am saving a ton of money and I can take my whole apartment in one trip. Wow, I feel so relieved. Thanks, Richard.

For 2 months I was preparing a move the Tennessee from Clearwater, Florida. During this time I was constantly buying boxes and more boxes and more boxes from this Clearwater location. During this time I've reserved 2, 26' footers for the move. I reserved the trucks online and then confirmed the confirmation in the store. That's when problems started to happen. The store quoted me an entirely different price than what the online quote gave me. They said they couldn't do anything about the price it is what it is but they'll put a note in the system. I was quoted $1,034 online for the move but they were quoting me over $1,700 in the store. That was majorly concerning to me. So 4 days before the move I called U-Haul corporate and ask them what's going on, because the price online was still being quoted as $1,034. It's a bait and switch tactic which is illegal. A lady checked into it and on that call and we were able to confirm both trucks on the reserve dates and for the price of $1,034 each. Lo and behold when I show up on the 27th of February at 9:00 first thing as they open, U-Haul does not have a truck waiting for me. The lady at the front desk says that in her notes it says that I canceled the truck, the very truck I've been talking about for 2 months in their office. I told her if I canceled my truck why am I waiting for my truck as you open up the store, does that make any sense to you? I said if you pull up the recording from when I called corporate you would see that's not the case and that whoever wrote those notes is lying. So after spending over $600 to $800 worth of packing materials and equipment U-Haul screwed me on the truck I reserved. I then had to go to Penske truck to get a truck that day. Luckily they had one otherwise I would have been screwed cuz my wife took off of work and I had two family members fly down from Wisconsin to meet me. To add insult to injury on the second truck that I had reserved from U-Haul I picked it up with 5/8 of a tank of gas and dropped it off with 5/8 of a tank of gas. 5 minutes before I dropped off the truck I had spent $85 of gas in the truck to top it off at 5/8 of a tank. I dropped off the truck the young gentleman behind the counter doesn't even check out the truck with me just, he says just throw the keys on the counter and you're good to go. I told him I left them extra gas then 5/8 of a tank and gave him the gas receipt. A few days later I get a fee of $15 of saying I did not fill up the gas tank to the required amount which was another complete lie. Online it asked if I wanted to dispute this I said yes they said we'll get back to you. Guess what, they didn't get back to me. No text, no email, no call. Then they proceed to charge me a $30 late fee notifying via text. I called him up once again and the guy says that he would refund me the $15 gas fee if I can send him an email of the gas receipt. I don't have the gas receipt because I gave it to the guy at the U-Haul place. He then said well I can't help you. I said put a manager on the phone. He said I'll get the manager from the U-Haul place where you dropped off the truck. No answer, go figure! He said I'll leave a message and they'll call you back. Guess what no one's ever called me back. Needless to say the whole issue is unresolved and I will never use U-Haul for anything ever again. What really pisses me off is the lady at the U-Haul store when I went to go pick up the truck acted like I was completely insane and that I canceled my own truck and argued with me to no end that I am the one at fault. The lies the rudeness the unprofessionalism the complete audacity of just calling me a liar was completely just the worst ever especially after I was going to spend over $2,000 with them in trucks and roughly about a little under $1,000 in materials. Penske soon as I showed up the whole organization was just corporate ran they had dozens of trucks in the parking lot the guys were professionally dressed they obviously had corp

We had reserved a 26' truck and they let another customer who had reserved a 17' truck drive away with the 26' one we reserved. We spent 20 minutes in the store waiting for them to try and find a solution. The employees were extremely unprofessional.

I pulled in to return my trailer rental and there was a truck with the back open and the drivers side door open in the return lane. I pulled in behind it and the sign stated to wait in the vehicle to be assisted. I've included the pic of the sign. I fully expected someone would walk out to assist, especially since the vehicle in front of me looked like it was being handled. I waited about 5 minutes and no one appeared, so I walked in and the woman at the desk looked up from her phone and said, "Do you need something?" I said, "Yes! I've been waiting outside for someone to help with a trailer return." Her snide response with antagonism "Well, why would you wait outside? I have no way of knowing you're out there waiting" Me.."because the sign says to." Her rolling her eyes "well we have no way of knowing you're out there. Everyone just comes in." Me: "then take the sign down" Another eye roll and shoulder shrug. She was talking to me like I was an idiot who was annoying her. She then had me head outside where a guy directed me to move around to the side of the building. He took the trailer off and it started to roll nearly hitting my car. I've dealt with Uhaul a lot and have never been treated this rudely or talked down to in this way. I won't use them again.

I have had numerous dealings with U-Haul over the years and always had excellent service, until yesterday when I went to this place. I sent the following complaint to them: "When I went to your store, U-Haul Moving & Storage of Sunset Point / U.S. 19, today between 1600 and 1615 to pick up my order your attendant was very rude to me. First he miss read the order and didn't give me all my supplies, then in the middle of getting my order he went to wait on someone else, and when I informed he the order wasn't right he didn't care. I had to get the rest of the order myself and then he took my receipt. When I asked him to give me my receipt he told me to get out of the store. I wasn't about to leave without my receipt and he threaten to call the police and I asked him if he wanted to dial them or should I. He never moved to all them, instead called someone else to come into the store. That gentleman printed another receipt but insisted on verifying what I had. I told him to come ahead so he came to the car and doubled checked everything. I also asked to use a cart to take the boxes to my car but he yelled that they were only for his boxes. I've been in other U-Haul stores and when I bought as much as I did today they not only let me use a cart but also helped me to take them to the car and load them. This guy only response to anything I asked was to be rude. I don't know if it just that he doesn't like senior citizens or is just plain rude. If he worked for me I'd fire him. I asked for his name and was told U-Haul doesn't allow them to give their names. That must be a new policy for you, since every other time I have dealt with your locations the first thing they did was ask my name and give me their names." I'd recommend if you want to use U-Haul to go to a different location.

The absolute worst location do your self a favor and save the headaches and drive a few miles away to a different location. Avoid by all means. And i hate writing bad reviews but trying to help the next person

Really upset with this company. I rented a vehicle trailer, was told I had 5 days to use it. I explained I only needed it for 2 days and the employee told me it's an automatic 5 days but if I return it early they will refund some of my money. I returned it in 2 days and when I saw no refund in my account I called. Uhaul said it's 5 day charge period, no refund and blamed it on the employee being new. Uhaul has lost a customer who usually rents 2-3 times per year. Budget you have a new customer.

I had a hitch receiver, hitch, and wiring installed there. The gentleman doing to work was very nice and the quality of work seems to be good. The problem is that getting a hitch install quote on U-Haul's I got a figure that was $50 less than the actual install. First - the hitch I requested isn't stocked anywhere in the Tampa Bay area, so I had to upgrade for $20.00. Unlike their competitors, the quoted price doesn't include the actual hitch and ball - which was another $30. The overall price wasn't unreasonable - but the quote was very misleading. It felt a lot like a bait-and-switch. I would have gone elsewhere if my needs hadn't been time-sensitive. My recommendation - before committing to any quote you get verify the bottom line by talking to a human.

Good service. Check the gas though or you might have to follow up with corporate to get your money back.

Great service. The person at the front counter was friendly. We rented a van for $40. The price was reasonable.
