1st car I was given was dirty. Actually the upholstery was stained badly. I asked them to please look at it. The young was upset! She told I would get another car. It was great to have a clean car. Everyone was extremely nice. I have rented in the past and I will rent in the future.Thanks,Rhonda

If I can give a zero stars I would. My husband and i went to this location to pick up our rental which was damaged. They are so unprofessional. Had such a bad experience. I will never rent a car from them ever again.

We had planned this trip for a year and my daughter decided to rent an SUV from Clermont’s Budget Car. As soon as we left the place, the dashboard indicator indicated that the front passenger tire was low. We didn’t think much of it. We filled the tire and went toward our destination. After a few more miles the dashboard indicator showed the same tire was low. We frequently had to stop to add air to the tire. I called Budget 800 number and was told to call Roadside Service. We didn’t want to drive the car with a donut spare. We requested a replacement car. There was no rental car available at our destination. We would have to drive back to Pensacola Fl. airport (a few hours away) as the local satellite office didn’t have any rentals available. We exchanged the car. To do this, we had to check out from the hotel earlier than planned. We decided to cut the trip short and had to pay a cancellation fee, and we missed out on an excursion. It was not a relaxing vacation. We were not happy. When we got home, I called Budget Rental car in Clermont. I spoke with AJ. AJ listened empathetically. He wanted to make things right. He gave us a reasonable discount and apologized for the issue. I was exceptionally impressed with A.J.’s customer service skills. People like A.J. are the type of person you want to do business with. We would definitely rent from Clermont’s Budget Car Rental again, because of the outstanding services they provided. A.J.cared. Thank you A.J. for taking the sour taste from our mouth and making it a positive experience.

I was denied a rental and left stranded by the budget in Clermont because of their rule of if a debit card gets denied once you can’t use it. I had more than enough money. When I called my bank they said they denied it because budget charged me twice and it triggered a fraud alert (so it was their fault my card was denied in the first place) The manager at the office did not want to hear anything I had to say and didn’t care that I was stranded. Thank God for Enterprise car rental they gave me a good price on a nice car at the last minute and had excellent customer service and hospitality. That was my second time at budget and both times their attitude towards was as if they didn’t want to assist me in the first place. They act weird towards non whites

I have always rented from this location and never been disappointed. Agents are courteous, caring, and extremely helpful. Anjad has helped me on numerous occasions, and he has continuously exceeded my expectations.Cars are well kept and the cleaning team does an outstanding job! I highly recommend this location. It is conveniently located in Clermont, FL. Being able to locally pick up and return my rentals is a huge advantage. Thank you Budget team! Keep up the great work!

Would give it 0, but terrible experience! Was not told upfront about certain policies and scammed into paying/getting a youthful driver surcharge, when I was not the one driving and could have gotten someone else to pay on my behalf so I didn’t have to get this charge. Was told to contact customer service by the agent at this location AFTER signing my agreement and AFTER my reservation was over. Customer service would not do anything about it since I had already signed the agreement. Agent at this location rushed the reservation to be completed quickly and did not inform me of many things in the policies. No where does it say on their website that the person who makes the reservation also has to be the person who 1) pays, 2) drives.

The car I reserved is different from what I got. The front desk did not get my confirmation number.I was cleared when I drop off the car the staff took the car keys and checked for the mileage and fuel level. After couple of hours of returning the car, I received a call from Rona asking for the car keys that I did not returned and I will be charge for $450 if I will not return it. I answered her that I gave it to their staff and I was cleared so I left. The staff took the keys to verify the mileage and fuel level and never returned it to me.

Rented a suburban from Charlotte NC and drove to florida, nothing but issues from the beginning. There was mechanical issues with the car we originally rented. Showed up first thing in the AM at the claremont budget location and a gentleman named AJ helped me immediately. 30 minutes later I was in a brand new suburban and on my way. Fast, easy and appreciated!!

I had a good experience picking up a rental car at this location, which I later dropped at the Orlando airport. My problem with rental cars from this company and all others is the lack of assistance at car pick-up on some operating issues -- quickly hooking up a cellphone for safer hands off driving, basic GPS operation, how to activate the cruise control, and how to activate and de-activate particular ADAS driver assist features. Perhaps there could be a printed handout for each model of car if the staff is too busy to do this.

Terrible! A friend rented a car got a text message to come pick it up after 12:00 noon and when we got there they said they had no car for her. And when you called the reservation number they kept telling you they could make a reservation but there were no cars at the local locations. The local location gave her a number to try back after we left but it wasn't a number to the local location, it kept going to reservations. And extremely frustrating experience but my friend ended up renting a car the next day from Enterprise instead and said it was a 100% much better experience!

Tried multiple times to get in touch with someone for my receipt for reimbursement but it's nearly impossible for anyone to answer the phones. They have no problem taking money from my account but can't answer a phone to give me a receipt.

Place is awful and workers are rude. Had much better experience renting through Turo who don’t charge the $200 deposit that Budget charges and doesn’t return. Highly recommend the Turo app, you can choose for them to deliver the car to you! Can’t beat that.

I would not recommend this rental company at all. The staff was friendly when I picked up the vehicle, but the vehicle smelled very bad like body odor and smoke. The solution I was offered by the staff was that they sprayed air freshener which only temporarily covered up the smell. The first day I drove it, I heard a loud knocking noise when I turned the wheel left. Also, the vehicle was very dirty, especially the windows which makes it hard to see clearly when it’s raining so hard outside. The vehicle was low on windshield washer fluid, which I called the staff right away to let them know about the issues. The lady said she would speak to the person who cleaned it, and also notate about the other issues. The last 2 days of the rental, the brakes were making a loud grinding noise. When I dropped off the vehicle, I let the staff know, and also stated again about the other issues since the last I spoke to was not there. The gentleman said I guess it’s time to get rid of the vehicle. I did let him know I missed paying one toll, and I asked how that’s handled. He said I will get charged a fee plus a charge from the toll. I said can’t you waive that since there were so many issues. He said they don’t handle that there, and he gave me a phone number to call. I will never rent from here again, they don’t maintain their vehicles and don’t seem to care if you’re dissatisfied with your rental.

We have rented cars from across the nation, at airports and neighborhood locations as well, we have never experienced such great service and cars as we do here. This was our 3rd or 4th time at this location and as long as the gentleman at the counter works here, we will always return for our rental needs here, the cars we rent are always there, they are always clean and the employees are always pleasant!
