I had a unique tire situation that required warranty acceptance from an authorized dealer - Pep Boys. The Service Manager - Nick - handled everything as well as I could have ever expected. I am very satisfied.

I would most definitely not take my car to pep boys for repairs. They appear to be dishonest. They also take advantage of younger women because they think they don't know anything. They don't realize that is not the case, that young women often do have resources and information available to them.
Their labor rates are excessive for work that may or may not be necessary.
I don't believe I would trust them with anything. Maybe a flat tire or a rotate and balance but I wouldn't bring my car there.

i have been standing in this line for 20 min. mine you i am an african american female. one man said i will be with you. and now it's 30 min. racism is still alive. it was only 3 customers in the store, me and 2 caucasian males. who where already being serviced. Nice to be ignored. i wonder if it was a white female would they get the same treatment. 45 minutes now. i'm leaving

Made an 9:00 am appt (and I have a witness from the enterprise rental place that I did indeed make this appt and confirmed before we hung up the phone) for a new tire/tire fix (on my rental). Showed up 8:50 am only to be told there is no appt. Sat waiting for over an hour before I make an issue (had to cancel an important 11:00 am doctor appt). Made an appt for a reason. Made sure I was on time so I’d be out timely. Won’t be back. If you can’t make sure appt are scheduled when a customer calls them don’t make appt. People’s time is valuable and we don’t have all day to sit and wait

Purchase a set of four cooper tires with installation and road hazard. One tire had a rip one year later and take it to PepBoys and they intend to charge me me $150 for install a new tire even when it was still under warranty and covered by the road hazzard. total rip off.

Had my car in back in march for brake change, they said i had a broken valve somewhere and that they “fixed it”. 2 days ago oil light came on, oil was checked and it was BONE DRY. Then they tell my father in law that “its 3 days past warranty” the light came on the day the warranty “ran out” although their site says 6 months warranty they allow each store to create and make up their own warranties. Now a valve that was supposedly “fixed” was clearly never fixed and my engine almost blew up thank to them lying ? when the car was my father in laws car yall never played him with made up issues. The second girly things were put in the car and gifted to me you guys have royally screwed me. And then to not cover it? A repair done 3 months ago should not be broken again unless YOU NEVER FIXED ITTTTT!!!! Same when i took my boyfriends car in for an oil change and you told me “his air filters are really bad” but the photo shown to us had two brand new air filters that YOU GUYS PUT IN WEEKS PRIOR with ONE leaf on it. BULLSHIIIIIIIIT. DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL LIE AND NOT DO THE WORK THAT THEY SAID THEY DID. YOUR ENGINE WILL BLOW. DO NOT TRUST THEM. If i could give zero stars, i would.

I made an appointment at Pep Boys Clermont to get a wheel alignment and to have them properly balance the new tires I just received since the Pep Boys Sanford (#1521) didn’t bother to do it. The staff was very professional and accommodating since I was short on time. I appreciate their help and plan to visit this store in the future.

My review is based upon a bad experience.
I booked an appointment online and my vehicle was taken in under someone else's name. This was a simple front end alignment with ALL NEW PARTS already installed.
They couldn't do the job properly and couldn't seem to get the steering wheel straight. I spend four hours there waiting and finally gave up.
I was refunded the total cost and took the car to the dealer who had it done PROPERLY in a short amount of time. Actually, the dealer's price was about the same as Pep Boys who couldn't figure it out.
Don't take on work that you cannot do and make sure that your equipment is calibrated.
