Fun AND informative. Not to mention the gift shop has all sorts of awesome collectables, things for adults and children. The museum portion itself is larger than I imagined, with lots of interesting finds including natural and replica items. Great place to take dinosaur loving kids (and adults!). Gentlemen there gave us a great discussion about velociraptors vs T-Rex type animals, debunking some common misconceptions that are often replicated in today's media. I highly recommend checking it out! And of course it's right by downtown and the beaches, so you can make a fun trip of it.

This is a WONDERFUL museum! I enjoyed it tremendously!! There is also a Section with King Tut and Naphrititi, along with an area for Mexico and one for China as well. So well done!My only negative is that it is incredibly dusty and the glass throughout the museum is streaked and dirty. With all of the employees standing around snacking and talking, you would think more work could be getting done. I think if you have a place this special , you would try to take better care of it.I really did enjoy my time there, however.

Great place!! The gift shop is free to enter, however they may charge you to leave. The museum upstairs is a separate charge but is well worth it for anyone who is into dinosaurs, young and young at heart. There is so much to look at, so many little details that you may have to go back a second time to look around some more.

The dinosaur store is also a museum! The gift shop at the entrance is huge and has so many beautiful rocks, gems, jewelry, toys, just so much to look at. The museum offers two different experiences. We only did the adventure zone, where all of the arcade games are set to free play, there is a small exhibit of reptiles, and a “theater” set up. It also looks like there’s a gem mining exhibit on this side as well. The pricing offers an entrance to one exhibit or the other, which is the fossil/history actual museum part, or both. I found that helpful because we didn’t have the time to go through the whole museum but still wanted to get to experience some part of it. This place is super cool for anyone interested in history or dinosaurs or reptiles, and for anyone needing a unique gift!

My 4yr old daughter and I visited here for the first time. I've lived in the area almost my whole life and has never been. I was extremely impressed with our experience. We did the museum tour along with the adventure area which has games for kids of all ages to enjoy. The museum part has two stories on the second and third floors. I was thoroughly impressed with the level of detail. The 3rd floor has exhibits of ancient cultures from the Olmec to ancient Egypt including a full rendition of King Tut's tomb. The 2nd floor takes you through all the different dynastic periods. Again it's beautifully done, quite larger than I expected. There are so many things to look at and learn about we were there in the museum for 2 hours and I could have easily stayed for 2 more. Then back on the 1st floor the adventure zone I believe they call it has a array of games that are perfect for all ages. Also they have live snakes, turtles, frogs, lizards and 2 large alligators. Of course there's the store which is available for anyone to check out free of charge. There's something for everyone, they have an extensive selection of beautiful crystals, fossils, even dinosaur teeth & bones. Of course toys for the kids, lots of learning activities, books or just silly little things. Overall it was the perfect activity to do on an extremely hot August afternoon or for a rainy day. I can't recommend it enough!

I read some of the reviews and was considering not going. So glad we did! both of my teenagers loved it and one said it was his favorite part of the trip. I was pleasantly surprised and highly recommend this if you are in Cocoa Beach!

Truthfully enjoyed our time in the museum, just know it will take about an hour to calmly see everything. There is a good amount of fossils and artifacts to look at - including dinosaurs, Egypt, minerals, and more! The store itself, which is free to walk around in, is full of the same to browse and purchase. The staff is friendly and will provide you with fun facts/answers to any questions; they even showed us cool minerals to touch and see. It was a nice visit!

This museum is absolutely a gem in Cocoa Beach. During our visit we got to hear from Jack all about raptors (my daughter's favorite dinosaur) and their different types. He was extremely knowledgeable and we very much enjoyed our time listening to him and his vast knowledge. This is a very cool place and is actually so much bigger than you expect it to be. Absolutely worth it. I highly recommend to anyone visiting or local.

Eh. Waited years to try this and I'm not sure if it was worth it. Pretty expensive for what it is. My kids looked through the whole two floors of the museum in 25 minutes. They were so excited to see the live animals, but there's just a couple in small cages, none to touch. They enjoyed the arcade games and it was nice it was unlimited play, but they're all pretty old, some didn't work. Museum would maybe make a decent school field trip, but overall just do your research and know what to expect before you go and pay for all the different options.

Amazing museum! Never knew they had all those dinosaurs in there. 3 floors of fun and great gift store. There is even a KIng Tut exhibit. Worth every penny. Shop local. It is quite reasonable!

Cocoa Beach is world famous for being an internationally known surf spot, Ron Jon Surf Shop, being close to Cape Canaveral, and its location near the launch sites for NASA and SpaceX.However, Cocoa Beach (and its surrounding areas) does have some unique attractions, such as the Wizard of Oz Museum. For this review, that said unique attraction is the Dinosaur Store.Located near the intersection of 520 and A1A, The Dinosaur Store (which I will shorthand to TDS for the rest of this review) stands out with its design. Surely, the builders wanted to showcase bones.Inside, you'll be greeted by a friendly trike but rest assured, you'll see numerous items of a Jurassic, Triassic, and Paleolithic style for sale. In short, TDS isn't exactly a museum or educational business, but more a store that happens to specialize in... well... dinosaurs. That doesn't mean TDS is bad or a disappointment whatsoever. Instead, you'll find an array of toys, books, art, jewelry, furniture, clothing, and the like that has a dinosaur theme. And for an admission fee, you can enjoy the Arcade area in the next room. And on a sidenote for geocachers, there is one highly-favored geocache nearby too. It even fits the theme of TDS.From what I saw and interacted with, I will give four/five in my review. Will need to come again to thoroughly investigate everything. Despite this, if you are nearby and can stop on by, do so just to see what the unique hype is all about.

We arrived in Port Canaveral and had some time before our hotel was ready. We saw this place while driving. I thought it would be a tourist trap, but it ended up surprising us. The museum was well worth the $12 per person. We spent about 2 hours looking through the museum and reading about the prehistoric periods in time. It was very educational and realistic. Our kids really enjoyed learning about dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures! Would definitely recommend the museum for any Dino loving kids!

The museum area is great! From fossils to replicas and information about everything from the dinosaurs to birds of prey and mummies it was all very interesting and informative. The gift shop was a bit cramped and overpriced (as most gift shops are)
